Ranking points. This tournament is open to all junior players. To
earn points, players must compete in their qualified age division
Open to Both Texas and Out of Section Players for both Adults
SEEDING: USTA Texas recommends the "All Factors Method" of seeding
for Ad/Sr/SS divisions and that Committees use the Texas 12 Month
Rolling Standings List for initial considerations. If other
information is to be considered (such as head-to-head wins), emails
must be sent to the Tournament Director immediately after entry
Welcome to the 1st Annual Roddick Foundation Beaumont Open
Monies raised thru this tournament will go towards helping the
Roddick Foundation youth tennis program. We look forward to seeing
The junior part of this tournament is the fourth phase of the ARF
Point Series Tournaments sponsored in part by Babolat. (The others
are in Fair Oaks, Kerrville, and Marble Falls.) The boy and girl
who earn the most total points in the 18s in the series will
receive wildcard entries to an ITF tournament in South America. All
other boys' and girls' division winners in the total series will
receive free one week during the summer at the ARF training center
in San Antonio. (Up-to-date points/standings and dates of summer
training will be posted at each tournament.)
Adult play in Beaumont may start at 6:00 p.m. Friday, June 22, if
needed. Otherwise, all play starts at 8:00 a.m. Saturday, June 23.

Jr. Qualified Players - 2 out of 3 sets, regular scoring
Jr. Non-qualified players - 2 out of 3 sets, regular scoring, match tiebreak in lieu of 3rd set
Events with fewer than 3 participants may be combined.
Consolation will be played in all events.

Recovery Rule - Effective Immediately
USTA has mandated that all full two out of three set singles matches shall offer a minimum rest period of two hours. A minimum rest period of two hours is not required for matches using shortened formats, matches using 10-point match tiebreaks in lieu of third set, and all 10 & Under tennis formats.
Super Champ Major Zone "B" Draws (Main & Consolation Draw) will use a 10-point match tiebreak in lieu of a third set.
Champ Major Zones (Main Draw) will use a 10-point match tiebreak in lieu of a third set through the quarterfinal round. Semifinals and finals will play a full two out of three set match.
Junior Other Tournaments: Depending on draw size the Tournament Director and / or Referee will determine the appropriate match format.
No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, June 17, 2012 11:59:00 PM Central Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
