Draw and Match Format Singles
The draw size for the tournament for singles will be 32 players. The tournament will use a feedin in consolation through the quarterfinals and will play for 5/6. The last round of FIC will not be played. There will be a playoff for 3/4 singles. The match format in all main draw matches will be two out of three sets. There is a ten minute rest period between the second and third set. All consolation will use a match tiebreaker in lieu of the 3rd set. A three minute rest period occur between 2nd set and the match tiebreaker.

GENERAL TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
The National open in Rocky Hill is organized by the Northeast Tennis Association LLC and Sanctioned by USTA. l. We are renting the courts for the event. The event consists of two events one for boys 14 and under and one for girls 14 and under. Each draw consists of 32 singles players and 16 doubles team. The tournament takes place at the two sites listed belwo but may all also use an additional site in East Hartford, CT. This tournament is sanctioned by USTA National and adheres to the rules in Friend at Court. The surface for the tournament will be indoor hard courts.The tournament director is Matt Fraenza. Draw and Match format for doubles
Each day the tournament will start will doubles before singles. The format for doubles is a single elimination tournament with a playoff for third place. The doubles will consist of an eight game proset with a 7 point set tie breaker at 8all

4 players are selected for each site from the most recent National Standings List of the next lower age division and 28 players are selected for each site from the age division of the event

It is the player’s responsibility to check the selection list(s) after registering online to be sure that a check mark appears beside the player’s name on the list, in order to insure proper registration. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, October 31, 2013 11:59:00 AM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
