Hotel Information
The Boston Marriot Newton in Newton, Ma 617-969-1000 or 800-228-9290 and the Marriot Courtyard in Natick, Ma 508-655-6100 or 800-321-2211. The rate at the Boston Marriot Newton, 2345 Commonwealth Avenue, Newton, Mass is $129 and the Marriot Courtyard, 342 Speen Street, Natick, Mass is $102 plus applicable taxes. Be sure to identify yourself as a member of the Longfellow Club-National Open Participant when making your reservations. These are the only hotels that are tournament hotels. Reservations must be made by Friday, November22, 2013, to receive the tournament rates.
Other hotels in Natick-Framingham include Hampton Inn, Shearton Tara,and Crowne Plaza. The club is located 20 miles west of Boston and there are also hotels within 20 minutes.

Practice Courts
Practice Courts will be available at both Natick and Wayland Longfellow Clubs on Wednesday Night and Friday AM, Sat AM and Sun AM. You may reserve these in advance starting November 10th. On Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, courts are available in Wayland only from 8am -12 pm. The cost of a practice court is $38 per hour. Players are limited to sign up for 1 hour of practice court time per morning (between 6-8AM). We encourage everyone to share courts whenever possible. Phil Parrish, The Tournament Director, will help you find a practice partner. If you want a hitting lesson with a Longfellow Pro, please let Phil know and he will set it up. The cost is $90.

Playing Location Addresses
The Girls will play at Longfellow all weekend. The address for The Longfellow Club in Wayland is 524 Boston Post Rd, Wayland, MA 01778. It is about 1/2 hour from Newton Marriot and 20 minutes from the Courtyard. 508-358-7355.
The boys will play at Natick on Friday only and then move to Longfellow in Wayland on Saturday.The address for the Natick Racquet Club is 16 Michigan Dr, Natick, Ma 01760. The time from the Newton Marriot is 25 minutes and from the Courtyard, 15 minutes. 508-653-4606.

Doubles Information
The doubles draw will be 16 teams. We do not close the doubles until 12 pm on Friday, so you have plenty of time to sign up and find a partner. If you have a partner, please email us, so we can get it in the system.

Player Check In
The check in time is on Friday, one hour prior to your first match. Please have your waiver forms ready.

The Official Ball of the Boys 16 National Open is Wilson Hard Court Xtra Duty!

Waiver Forms Must Be Submitted at check in.
For all National Tournaments, the USTA Waiver form, found at: http://assets.usta.com/assets/1/15/Medical%20Release%20Form10.pdf,
must be given to the Tournament Director and it must be signed by your parents. Coaches are not allowed to sign the form in lieu of your parents. Thanks.

The Longfellow Cafe
The Longfellow Cafe will be open for healthy breakfast and lunches! The hours will be:
Friday 7-4
Saturday 7-3
Sunday 8-2
There is a Whole Foods, Subway, Papa Gino's and other places within 5-10 minutes to get a good healthy meal.

Draw Sizes
All singles draw shall be 32 players. Doubles draws must be held and shall be a maximum of 16 teams.

Match Format
All main draw matches (including 3rd and 4th) will be 2 out of 3 sets with a 7 point set tiebreaker at the end of each set at 6-6. The consolation matches will be 2 out of 3 sets, with a match tiebreaker (first to 10 points) for the 3rd set.
Doubles will be an 8 game pro set, with a 7 point tiebreaker tiebreaker at 8-8.

Singles Feed In Consolation (FIC) Required
All singles draw must have a Feed_in Championship (FIC) that feeds players through the Quarterfinals. The FIC shall be played through the semifinals. No finals will be played. The FIC shall be considered part of the tournament and participation is mandatory for all singles main draw players. The standard bye placement method described in USTA Regulation II.B.4.d.i. shall be used.

Singles and Doubles 3rd and 4th Place Playoffs Req
All singles and doubles draws shall have a playoff for 3rd and 4th place . All players are required to play third and fourth place playoffs.

National Level 2 points. No New England points. Wilson US Open
Ball will be used.

This event is restricted to the following Jr. players: U.S. Citizens; Permanent Resident Aliens; Diplomats, Refugees/Asylees; CTA. Refer to USTA Regulation III.A.2a.

4 players are selected for each site from the most recent National Standings List of the next lower age division and 28 players are selected for each site from the age division of the event
Entry to this tournament is restricted. To see how entrants will be selected, follow the “Selection Process” link to the left. It is the player’s responsibility to check the selection list(s) after registering online to be sure that a check mark appears beside the player’s name on the list, in order to insure proper registration. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, October 31, 2013 11:59:00 AM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
