Early check in and Player Party
Early Check In will be at Forest Hill Golf Course Grille. Forest Hills is right behind NTC. Go past NTC and turn left onto Magnolia St., then left at the first stop sign, then left into the parking lot. Early check in is from 5-8 PM. The player party will take place at the same time. IF YOU DO NOT CHECK IN FRIDAY EVENING THEN YOU MUST CHECK IN AT NTC PRIOR TO YOUR FIRST MATCH, REGUARDLESS OF THE LOCATION OF THE MATCH. ALL PLAYERS must have at completed medical release turned in to the Tournament Director prior to your first match.

First Match Times and Draws Published
First Match Times will be published by Noon on Wednesday August 27th. The draws will be published by 5 pm on Thursday August 28th.
Withdraw with refund
Players will have until 6 pm on Sunday August 24th to withdraw and receive a refund of their entry fee. The tennis link fee is not refundable.
Boys and Girls 12-18 Singles Main Draw will play the best 2 out of 3 tie breaker sets. Boys and Girls 10's and all consolations will play the best of two sets with a third set match tie break in lieu of the third set. In the event of inclement weather the play format may be altered after consulting with GTA/STA.
Doubles play for all age groups will the an eight game proset with a match tie break at 8 all.
a medical release is now required prior to playing any matches. parent or guardian must sign. please click on more info to download this form and bring it with you to registration. you can find the form at www.gatennis.com under junior competitive tennis.
the tournament committee has set a dress code in this tournament the rules to which all participants are expected to adhere. these rules are based on our community standards and all participants must observe, all rules, at all of the sites used during the tournament. good manners on and off the court will be required of all participants, coaches and family at all times.
proper tennis attire should be worn. for females, proper attire does not include, roll down waist bands on skirts or shorts, or exposure of skin between tops and skirts or shorts. for males proper attire does not include tank tops or sleeveless shirts, or shorts worn below the waist. shirts must be worn at all times. please respect our standards and adhere to our rules. failure to do so will result in the player being required to change prior to the match. this delay may result in penalties (pps) being assessed .
The top 32 players applying from the usta/southern latest standings list. 28 players from this age group will be selected and up to 4 players from the younger age group who are eligible from the younger age group, who have a standing in the top 40 of the younger age group, and are not in the selected 28, will be selected. the names of the player who have been selected will appear as competitors. alternates are listed in the report section. do not refer to the alternates on the far left side of the web page (that list is not updated).
players are allowed to enter two divisions with these guidelines: #1. players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected to the older age division. they would be removed from the other age division. #2. players not selected to either divisions would remain on the alternates lists for both divisions but would be obligated to play the division they first get in, from the alt. list. they would be removed from the alternate list in the other division. #3. players selected to one age division woud be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected. #4. once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.
Doubles Sign UP Deadline Extended
I have moved all players that signed up for doubles and that do not have a partner to the alternates list. If you find a partner I will put you back into the draw. You have until noon Sunday the 24th to find a partner and submit your team to the link.
Selected players will have until Noon Sunday August 24th to go to the link provided and register their team for the doubles. You are required to enter with a partner WE WILL BE UNABLE TO PAIR UP PLAYERS.

doubles selection policies
1. players not selected for singles will not be selected for doubles.*
2. players selected for doubles will be in this order:
-players selected for singles in that age group
-players selected for singles in any age group
-players not selected for singles*
-players applying for doubles only*
I recommend that you start working on this early. If you wait until Saturday to look for a partner the Tournament Director may not be available to give you e-mail addresses. We will not give out phone numbers only e-mails. Make sure you include your e-mail with your entry information, other wise no one will be able to reach you or visa versa.
****After Selections are made we will send an e-mail to all the players that have entered doubles (and do not have a partner) with the e-mails of the others that are looking for partners.****
GEORGIA LEVEL 3 TOURNAMENT AND SOUTHERN LEVEL 3 TOURNAMENT. THIS
IS NOT A GEORGIA SUPER CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT HOWEVER, IT WILL BE
AWARDED GEORGIA LEVEL 3 POINTS BECAUSE IT IS A SOUTHERN LEVEL 3
TOURNAMENT. Call for match times or check internet after Noon,
August 29. Early check-in and Tournament Dinner will be Friday,
Augusta 29, 5:00 PM-8:00 PM at Forest Hill Golf Course (players,
parents & coaches welcome). Players are encouraged to use
Hotels listed on entry form. Look on Inside Backcover in USTA
Georgia Yearbook for more Hotel Information, and you will receive a

Draw: Regular scoring (2 out of 3 sets) Boys and Girls 10's and
Consolation (FIC): Best of 2 sets with a 3rd set Match tiebreaker
in lieu of the 3rd set. In the event of bad weather, alternate
scoring will be used. Doubles: Sign up at the tournament, Play will
be 8 game Pro Sets and will be a single elimination Draw.
CHAMPIONSHIP - Open to all players regardless of ranking. We
encourage you to use the USTA's On-line registration but we do
offer express entry. Express entry is a faxed, e-mail, or paper
entry that uses a Credit Card. There is an additional $3 charge for
using express entry.
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Wednesday, August 20, 2008 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
