Who Is Eligible For The Oakland/ East Bay Competition Training Center?
The Oakland/ East Bay area USTA Competition Training Center Teams are designed for a group of promising junior players between the ages of 10 and 14 who reside in the Eat Bay Area. All players accepted into the program, will be provided with instruction with sports science and allow for drills and match play with the other top juniors in the East Bay area.

Can Anyone Sign Up For A Team? How Are The Players Accepted On The Team?
Yes, anyone can apply, but not all players will be selected.
The CTCs are structured to provide further training for NorCal's 14 and under players. A top twenty list will be devised using the 4-2 formula - the 4 returning players and the next 2 moving up. A player with a birthday from January through June will be defined as a player moving up, and a player with a birthday from July through December as a returning player.
If you are not selected to be on the team your credit card will not get charged.

January: 20, 27 from 12:30-3:30 at Laney College.
February:3, 10, 17, 24 from 12:30-3:30 at Laney College.
All other dates are to be announced.

Where Will The Oakland/East Bay CTC Team Be Hosted At?
The Oakland/ East bay CTC team practices and matches will be held at Laney College, 900 Fallon St Oakland, CA 94607-4808 and UC Berkeley (Channing Courts), Channing and Ellsworth.

Who Is The Coach Of The Oakland/ East Bay Team?
Is a Junior Development Coach by training, and has over 19 years of tennis teaching experience, including seven years for The University of California at Berkeley , 9 years as Director of a USTA Junior Development Program. He developed numerous top level players at the Sectional, National, Collegiate and Professional level, and was part of the USTA National High performance Class of 2000 and 1996 that was directed by Stan Smith , Nick Saviano and Jay Berger.

What Do I Need To Do To Apply?
In order to apply for the East Bay/Oakland CTC Team you must register online. If you are accepted into the program you will be sent additional documents to fill out and your credit card will get charged. If you do not make the team your credit card will get charged.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, January 18, 2007 11:59:00 PM Pacific Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
