For the safety of all Tournament players, parents, coaches and staff we will NOT be using a physical tournament desk where social gathering is most common. We instead will be using Match Tennis App’s Virtual Tournament Desk to help facilitate CDC guidelines for social distancing. Notes
*Entries close at 11:59PM of the deadline date which is Sunday
prior to the start date. PLAYERS MUST PLAY IN THE SAME AGE DIVISION
IN DOUBLE AS SINGLES. NO EXCEPTIONS.
*Late entries- If draws are not full, TD'S can take late entries.
After the draw is made and posted late entries can only be taken if
the player is not ranked higher than the last seed. If draw is full
may still take late entry for alternate list. Must be placed in
bottom of alternate list.
_*Players may register for 2 age divisions in this Level
tournament. Players that do register for both age divisions will
automatically be selected in the older age division if they get
selected for both. They will be removed from the other age
division. Players not selected to either division will remain on
the alternates lists for both division but will be obligated to
play the division they first get in from the alternates list. They
would be removed from the Alternates list in the other division.
Once a player is selected for any one division NO CHANGES CAN BE
MADE.
_*Draw limit is 32. The tournament shall have two (2) balanced
draws in each age divisions. The two draws will be determined by
use of the waterfall system. If entries are 23 and under then
regular 32 draw will be sued. Doubles is a 32 draw size.
_*Level 3 Tournaments will have two balanced 16 draws created by
using the waterfall method. Consolation will feed-in through the
quarters for 16 draws. Main draw will be finished while consolation
will be played out to the consolation finals. The 32 draw -will use
the same consolation format.
_*Scoring Format
_Singles is 2 out of 3 tie break sets with match tie in lieu of a
third set. Doubles is a 6 game set with ad-scoring, set tie break
at 6 all.
_10''s division will play short sets with no-ad and set tie break
for third set. Doubles is one set no add. All doubles players must
play in the same age division as they do singles.
_*Must be a resident of USTA Southern. Legal residency for juniors
is that of his/her legal supporting parent(s). Individuals must be
United States citizens or permanent resident aliens.
_*All players must have a copy of a Birth Certificate or Green Card
on file in the Southern office. If players want to check if their
Birth certificates are on file, they must call Southern Office or
email birthcertificates@sta.usta.com.
Player Selection TypePlayers are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry TypeEntry to this tournament is restricted. Please consult your Section or District rules and regulations for entry requirements for this tournament. If you enter this tournament and are not eligible, any refund is as the discretion of the Tournament Director. Only USTA members can register online if available.
