IMPORTANT TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
As you prepare for the tournament, please keep these items in mind. These guidelines are in place in the area due to Covid. 1 Please wear a mask when on site. The players will take their masks off when they get to court. If you need to get an Official both player must put there masks back on while they are communicating with the Official on court. If the player needs to take a bathroom break they must put their mask on to travel to and from the toilet.
2 The rules of Southern are no water or ice will be provided at the sites. This is for the health and safety of the players.
3 please bring a chair and umbrella to help insure proper social distancing. We can not guarantee The safety of any seating that is on site.
4 All matches will be called through the Match Tennis App. Starting Thursday we will be sending updates through MTA. If you do not sign up by noon on 10/29 you will miss out on this information. Make sure the cell number you sign up with will be with the player. On match day, You will receive a text to the phone number you signed up with on the app. Please tap on the link to confirm you are heading to court. At the end of the match, the last text you received has a link to report your score. Then proceed to the tournament desk to drop off the balls and confirm scores.
5 The matches are about the kids playing the best match they can. Everyone is excited to be back playing tournaments. Please understand that off court behavior in a negative manner will be address immediately.

When setting up your Match Tennis App account, all family members should sign in with the same username and password. Make sure you add three DIFFERENT contact numbers during the Pre Tournament Virtual Check-In THAT WILL BE ON during the tournament. They all should be cell numbers since messages will be in the form of texts. When you are called to court, all your contact phones will receive the message. * If you need to add or change contact numbers go to “My Account” in Match Tennis App and click “Completed Waivers” to add or change contact numbers.

MATCH TENNIS APP INSTRUCTIONS FOR FINDING DOUBLES PARTNERS
1. Log into Match Tennis App 2. Click on tournament on the calendar 3. Click the “Find Doubles Partner” button 4. Add your name to the list of looking for partners 5. Click the message icon to send in app message to any player you would like to play with. Once you find a partner then remove your name from the list. MATCH TENNIS APP MEDICAL RELEASE FORMS
All medical release forms are part of your Match Tennis app registration information. You must sign up for this tournament on MTA even if you have used it before.

FORMAT
Boy and Girls 12-18 Singles - 2 tiebreak sets. At one set all a 10point match tiebreak will be used to decided the match. Doubles - One 6 game set.
Boys and Girls 10's Singles - 2 short sets first to 4 by 2. At one set all a 7 point tiebreak will be played NO ADD SCORING Doubles - One 6 game set

Draws will be posted Thursday at noon.

Department and held in the beautiful Town of Mount Pleasant, South

away. This annual event attracts local and regional junior

10 & Under Youth Progression Eligibility Please be aware this tournament has two 10 & Under Youth Progression divisions. ORANGE BALL DIVISION AND GREEN BALL DIVISION. This means that in order to play in a 10 & Under division, you must be eligible for that corresponding level. If you are not able to register for a 10 & Under singles event, that means you are not eligible for that level. To find out more information call PJ Fulmer at (803) 781-2574.

Seeding Criteria The most current USTA Southern Standing List will be used for seeding purposes.

Boys and Girls 10's Orange Ball Divsions Boy's and Girl's ORANGE BALL divisions will be played on a 60' court using a low compression orange ball. Racquet size is limited to 25" or smaller. Draw format will be determined by the number of participants. Scoring format as follows: 2 out of 3 short sets using NO AD scoring, first to 4 games (win by 1). If players split sets then a 7 point tiebreak is played for the 3rd set (win by 2). THERE IS NO COACHING BETWEEN THE 2nd AND 3rd SET BREAK IN THE 10 & UNDER DIVISIONS. Doubles will be a 6 game pro set Using NO AD scoring

Boys and Girls 10's Green Ball Divisions Boy's and Girl's 10's GREEN BALL divisions will be played on a 78' court using low compression green ball. Draw format will be determined by the number of participants. Scoring format as follows: 2 out of 3 short sets using NO AD scoring, first to 4 games (win by 2). A 7 point tiebreak is played if players reach 4 all. If players split sets then a 7 point tiebreak is played for the 3rd set (win by 2). THERE IS NO COACHING BETWEEN THE 2nd AND 3rd SET BREAK IN THE 10 & UNDER DIVISIONS. Doubles will be a 6 game pro set using NO AD scoring
