Moving Kentucky level 1A to different sites
Players/parents- Due to the Kentucky Governance that players will have to wear masks while playing indoors, the USTA Southern Board and Junior Competitive Committee have selected to move the tournament to other sites. Please see below the sites and be aware of the date change as well. Unfortunately the 10's will be cancelled.

We are working to get the homepages up by tomorrow so you will be able to get the details about hotels etc.. All players that were selected will still be registered, you will not have to do anything- unless you want to withdraw. If you would like to withdraw (you will get a refund) please email Maria Cercone at cercone@sta.usta.com by Monday, Novermber 23rd 12:00pm. No late entries will be accepted. During these challenging times we appreciate your patience and flexibility. The Board and Committee really wants this tournament to happen since this is the last tournament for endorsement to WINTER NATIONALS. Covid Guidelines
Please come prepared. NO Water and Ice will be available at the sites. Bring you own Hand sanitizer. Also bring your own chair. Make sure you bring your own practice balls. And only 4 players are allowed on the court for warm-ups or practice. Do not touch your opponent's tennis balls or the tennis balls that may come from an adjacent court. At changeovers, go around opposite sides of the net. Masks are required in lobby and restroom area by everyone. Only ONE spectator is allowed in the building with each player and spectators should bring their own chair. Avoid touching surfaces wherever possible.

Virtual Tournament Desk Registration **MANDATORY FOR ALL PLAYERS** In response to the COVID-19, we will be using Match Tennis App’s Virtual Tournament Desk technology to help facilitate CDC best practices. When setting up your Match Tennis App Account, all family members should sign in with the same username and password. Also make sure you add three Different contact numbers during the Pre-Tournament Virtual Check-in THAT WILL BE ON during the tournament. The numbers should all be cell numbers since messages will be in the form of texts. When you are called to the court, all your contact phones will receive the message. Players will be called to court through Match Tennis App. Players are asked to only have one guest at the tournament. Players and quest must wear face coverings while in the lobby area or the restroom area. Once your match is finished. Please leave facility with in 10 minutes of match finishing. This is for the safety of everyone.

FORMAT AND SCORING
FORMAT & SCORINGFor the Icy Hot Fall Indoor Level 2 Championships. In the divisions of BG(14, 16, 18)s, the draws will be limited to 64. In the BG(12)s, the draws will be limited to 48. In the BG(10)(Greenball), the draws will be limited to 32. All draws will have a full feed in consolation through the Round of 16, a 3rd/4th playoff, and a 7th/8th playoff. All main draw matches in BG(14, 16, 18)s are best 2 out of 3 sets. Their consolation matches will use a (10 point) Match Tie Break to decide a 3rd set. The BG(12)s will use a (10 point) Match Tie Break to decide a 3rd set in all Main draw and Consolation matches. The BG(10)s will play 2 Short Sets with a (7 point) Tie Break as a 3rd set if needed. A Short Set is "The first player who wins 4 games wins the set, provided there is a margin of 2 games over the opponent. If the score reaches 4 games all, a Tie Break game shall be played." Selections for this event will consider the Top players in the lower age division.

ENTERING TWO DIVISIONS
Players are allowed to enter two divisions in Southern Levels 1A, 2, and 3 tournaments. #1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected in the older age division. They would be removed from the other age division. #2. Players not selected to either division would remain on the alternates lists for both divisions but would be obligated to play the division they first get in from the alternates list. They would be removed from the alternates list in the other division. #3. Players selected to one age division would be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected. #4. ONCE A PLAYER IS SELECTED FOR ANY ONE DIVISION NO CHANGES CAN BE MADE.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
