Email will be used to provide pertinent information on site and
schedule updates during the tournament.
-Players must Check In 30 minutes PRIOR to match time
-Each year an ONLINE WAIVER must be complete in order to
participate. Please complete the online waiver by SUNDAY, MAY
19th, 2019. It is a very easy process and just takes a few
minutes:

-Registration: Players must register online via TennisLink -
Providing a phone # & email address when registering is
required so we can reach you in the event of schedule changes
-Declined Credit Card payments must be received within 48
hours. Players will not be added to the draw if payment is not
received. Contact the tournament director immediately if you
receive an email notice that your credit card was declined!
-Refunds will NOT be made after entries are closed
-Late Entries will NOT be accepted under any circumstance
including any technical issues with TennisLink. It is highly
recommended that you do not wait until the last hour to
register!
-ALL eligible registered players will be selected
-Players, if qualified, may participate in both the 10s
Green Ball and 12s Yellow Ball NEOTA Qualifier Championships
-Special Scheduling Requests must be made in writing to the
Tournament Director prior to the entry deadline and will
ONLY be considered if they are to accommodate an entrant's
graduation or the graduation of an entrant's immediate sibling.
Accommodations will not be made for graduation parties.
-Match Times: Players are responsible for looking up their
match times online. Players are expected to be available at all
times and dates designated for their division.
-Match Time Changes: Once match times are published on
TennisLink, every effort will be made to avoid changes. However,
withdrawals can necessitate a remake of the draw, causing match
times to change. If needed, the TD will use the email/phone #
provided during registration to contact you.
-Tournament Format (10s): ALL main and back
draw matches will use 2 out of 3 sets using Regular Scoring with a
10-point Super Tiebreaker in lieu of a 3rd set. Main draw feeds
into back draw through semifinals; all consolation matches will be
played.
-Seeding for the tournament will be done using the most
current USTA/Midwest Section standings list available at the time
draws are made on May 16.
-Endorsements for the Midwest Closed will be done according
to USTA/Midwest policies (i.e. Eligibility, Appeals, Midwest
Alternates, Play & Complete requirements, Wildcards) which can
be found here:

Play and Complete is defined as playing all points,
including the final point, of the match; A retirement, walkover or
default in the player's final match of the District Qualifier
(including any feed-in consolation (FIC) matches) will cause the
player to no longer be eligible to be endorsed to the Midwest
Closed; There shall be no appeal of the Play and Complete
requirement permitted.
-QUOTA Spots: Per Midwest policies, the 8 NEO quota spots
per 12s-18s age division will be awarded to the Qualifier Winner,
Finalist, 3rd Place, 4th Place, and the four FIC Semifinalists; the
3 NEO quota spots per 10s age division will be awarded to the
Qualifier Winner, Qualifier Finalist and FIC Winner. Finishers
cannot be endorsed unless they meet the Midwest play and complete
requirements.
-Players Responsibilities related to endorsements: Players
must register for the Midwest Closed within 24 hours of the
completion of the Qualifier in order to be eligible for
endorsement. If an Endorsed Player or Alternate becomes unable to
participate in the Midwest Closed, they must immediately email the
NEOTA office at youth@neohiotennis.com.

-DRESS CODE: No reference to drugs, violence, alcohol, or
foul language may appear on player attire and non-marking shoes
must be worn. Players who do not comply will be asked to change
clothes. This will be at the discretion of the tournament
staff/officials. If you are wondering if something will be
permitted, please consult with the Tournament Director or Referee
in advance. If the host facility has a specific dress code, players
will have to abide by it as well.
-ADDITIONAL DRESS GUIDELINES: Players are asked to wear
proper, modest tennis attire during their matches. What tennis
professionals wear during tournament play is a good guide to
follow. Please notice that what the pros wear during their
tournament matches is typically nicer and more modest than what
they wear during their practice sessions.
-The Tennis Balls used for this tournament are Wilson US
Open Tournament Green Ball.
