Player Selection Type
This event will be on a Friday night 7pm-10pm (semi-finals may
go past 10pm). No draws will be posted, ALL MATCHES START at
One-on-One Doubles� Tennis is the first alternative,
competitive format to singles and doubles since the inception of
the game in the 1870s. One-On-One Doubles Tennis is a half-court,
serve-and-volley singles competition played on a doubles court.
Founder Ed Krass will serve as Tournament Director for this
This Friday night event will include USTA level 4.0 men along with
4.5 women! There will be a round robin format featuring "fast four"
scoring sets (sets first to 4 games, no ads, tiebreaker at 3-3).
Top players from each round robin group advance to knockout round
and will play for prize money!
One on One Doubles Rules
-all points are played cross court, with alleys included
- players will earn 2 points for a winning volley, half-volley or
overhead than opponent cannot touch!
-serve and volley is optional
Men's 4.0 Division - $100 to winner
Women's 4.5 Division -$100 to winner
Registration is limited to 36 participants.
Complimentary food and beverage will be provided.
No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Tuesday, October 8, 2019 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
