MATCH AND DRAW FORMATS
SINGLES: In singles for Levels 3 and 4, in all age groups, with the exception of 12s, all matches in the main draw up to the Semi-Finals and 3rd place matches will be best of 2 sets with a 10 point tie break in lieu of the 3rd set. All 12s play, both boys and girls in main draw and consolation, will be best of 2 tiebreak sets with a Match Tiebreak in lieu of a 3rd set. In consolation, play will be best of 2 tiebreak sets with a Match Tiebreak in lieu of a 3rd set. DOUBLES: All doubles events affiliated with Levels 3 and 4 will be single elimination, 8 game sets with no-ad scoring (tie-break at 8-8)

BASELINE'S SAFE PLAY GUIDELINES

General As little in-person interaction as possible will create a low-risk environment for spreading COVID-19, while still allowing for sanctioned tennis matches to be played
Tournament Desk There will be a tournament desk located near the tennis courts, use of PPE by staff will be observed. Use of radio and electronic communication among staff and participants will be utilized. Match check-in and score reporting to be completed via electronic/text communication. Remotely send matches to court via electronic/text messaging
Tournament Staff/Officials Use of a mask when operating within 6 feet of another person. Routinely wash hands and sanitize work stations (Will have portable stations available). Officials and Baseline staff will handle tennis balls without touching them: Deliver balls to the court and empty the balls directly from the can onto the court without touching them. Kick balls to players if necessary instead of picking up the balls. Players will be responsible for disposing the balls in marked receptacles
Tournament Participants Players should wear a mask at all times when not on court playing. Players should come prepared with water, food, towels, hand sanitizer etc as facilities and other commodities will not be provided by the tournament. Players should arrive on site no more than 20 minutes prior to their match time and should leave the premises immediately following their match. Wash hands before and immediately after playing match (portable hand wash stations will be available). Follow ALL tournament policies outlined on this tournament homepage and Baseline website including check in and score reporting procedures (more info to come via this homepage and email to participants)

COVID 19 SPECTATOR POLICY
Only 1 spectator per player is allowed on the premises and must remain in designated location All facility guidelines must be followed, including social distancing and wearing of a mask

TOURNAMENT DESK HOTLINE AND TOURNAMENT DESK LOCATION
When play is in progress, a
tournament hotline is available to contact the tournament desk directly with
any concerns or questions: 612-363-9331 For indoor events, the tournament
desk will be located behind court 1 on the concourse level. For outdoor events, the tournament
desk will be located next to court 11 near the courtyard area.

BASELINE TENNIS CENTER REFUND POLICY
Players who withdraw
after the entry deadline for any reason other than a previously authorized
entry into concurrent tournaments are not entitled to a refund.
If a player has previously paid an entry fee and is not
accepted into the tournament, the player is entitled to a refund. Generally, in
USTA Junior Tournaments, no player is charged an entry fee until tournament selection
is done and the acceptance list is published to the tournament website. The
TennisLink processing fee, paid in addition to the entry fee, is not
refundable.
If a player has previously received written authority to enter
concurrent tournaments from each Tournament Committee, the player is entitled
to a refund from the tournament(s) that will not be played. The TennisLink
processing fee, paid in addition to the entry fee, is not refundable.

SCHEDULE OF PLAY
The tournament is scheduled for the dates listed above. Players are expected to be available for all
dates listed on the homepage. Please
read through Baseline’s refund policy in its entirety before registering.
Exact match scheduling will be released no later than 36
hours prior to the start of play (ie Wednesday evening for a tournament that
begins on Friday). The entire weekend’s
schedule will be released at that time.
The tournament director reserves the right to alter the schedule in case
of conflicts that arise due to weather, court and player availability etc.

OFFICIATING
It is the intention of the tournament to have one roving official per 6 courts of competition. There will also be a referee on-site throughout the tournament.
Tournament desk will always be staffed to help answer questions and help with any issues on court and will have direct communication with the tournament director as needed.

PARKING
Due to the close proximity of the Baseline Tennis Center to 4
major athletic venues, parking may be at event rates (up to $10.00/car) with no
in/out privileges. Metered parking is available behind the building at $1.25/hr
as available. Please consider carpooling, walking a longer distance, etc. to
minimize the impact of these events. We apologize for any inconvenience this

and times in which event parking will be enforced.

PRACTICE COURTS
Practice courts prior to the start
of the tournament can be purchased by calling the front desk at
612-625-1433. Indoor courts are available
at a public junior rate of $28 per hour + applicable sales tax. Outdoor courts are available at a public rate
of $8 per hour + applicable sales tax.
During the tournament, practice courts may not be available. Please check with the tournament desk when
on-site to inquire if courts are available for practice and warm-up purposes.

RACQUET STRINGING
A stringer will always be on site
during business hours. We are able to turn around any racquet within 24 hours.
For most requests, we are able to complete in a couple hours. If players
provide their own string, we charge only $21 per racquet. If you require
string, we carry most Babolat synthetic string brands. Contact our pro shop directly for more

NO MEDICAL TRAINER
There will not be a trainer on
site. If a player needs treatment on
court, the player may designate a parent or guardian to treat them. In case of emergency, the tournament desk
will call 911.

WATER, ICE, AND TOWELS
Ice will be available at the
tournament desk.
Water is available at all levels of
Baseline and will also be available at the tournament desk.
Baseline does not have a towel
service on site, please bring your own court towels.

SEEDING - The Computerized List Method will be used for seeding (FAC Comment II.A-4), based on the current standings/ranking list.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, November 19, 2020 12:45:00 PM Central Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
