Important Info
Draws are posted. *All Matches will be at John Drew Smith Tennis Center (JDS) address: 3280 North Ingle Place, Macon, GA 31210 * Tournament check in should be completed 30 minutes before your first match. Please have your Hotel information and Medical release with you. You can print a copy of the Medical release from this site. *Lunch will be served for "Players Only" from 11 - 1 at JDS. *This is a USTA sanctioned tournament. Singles sticks will be used and all USTA rules will be enforced. (MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON TIME) *Weather delays will be posted on the website. If there is nothing listed then you should be ready to play at the time listed on the draw. *Make sure you have plenty of water. We will have Ice and Water for small Jugs only. Please fill up large coolers at the hotel. *We look forward to a great weekend.. Safe travels to everyone.

Tournament Check In:
Tournament Check in will open Saturday at 7:15 am. We will not have a Friday night check in. Please check into the tournament 30 minutes before your first match.

Seedings will be posted on Tuesday, September 10th based off of the Southern Rankings. Draws will be posted on Thursday, September 12th.

Welcome!
This is an advanced-level tournament sanctioned by USTA
Georgia as a Level 3 (Southern Level 5 points). Registration must be completed online. In the

Player Gift to
all participants. Additional sites may be used.
Boys and Girls registered for 12 and under division will play on a full court with yellow balls.
Boys and Girls 10 and under that are eligible for green balls in Youth
Progression will play on a full court with green dot balls.
Boys and Girls 10 and under that are eligible for orange balls or new to Youth Progression will
play on a 60’ court with orange balls.
USTA Georgia tournaments do not offer Orange Level 2
divisions. All players that register for Orange 2 will be automatically moved
to Orange 1 before the draws are posted.
Player selection
This tournament is open for junior players regardless of
ranking. You will receive an automated email if your player is selected and
your credit card is charged. USTA Southern
standings will be used for seeding.
Late Entrants
USTA Georgia will allow late entrants to be accepted into
all USTA GA tournaments in the event that the draw is not full, provided that
such late entrants do not affect the seeding and further provided that late
entrants do not prevent timely entrants to be accepted into the draw under any
circumstances. Accepting late entrants is at the discretion of the Tournament
Committee. Seeds must be posted by 12 noon following close of registration.
Once draws are posted, the tournament is closed and can no longer accept late
entries.
Draws
Draws will be published by Thursday at 5 pm. It is your
responsibility to check this tournament webpage for the players’ draws, match
times and any other updates. Draw
size will determine an event's starting date. Any match times found on the
Internet, outside of the First Match Time Report, are unofficial. Official
match times only may be found on the posted drawsheets at the tournament sites.
Players must check the posted drawsheets to get their match time and location.
Format
Limit 16 draw.
FIC with a 3/4 playoff in the main draw. Awards to winner, finalist,
consolation winner and consolation finalist of each event that has six or more
players. Scoring format: Main draw for BG12-18 – 2 out of 3 sets with regular
scoring; 3rd set tiebreaker in lieu of full third set in consolation draw. BG10
– short scoring with 3rd set match tie-break. Scoring may be changed due to
inclement weather. A round robin will be conducted if only 3-5 players in
event.
Withdrawals and
Refund Policy
Entry fees will
be refunded ONLY if requests for refunds are received in writing (email to the
TD or referee PRIOR to deadline). No refunds will be issued for any reason
after deadline date. If there are weather issues and no matches are played,
then you will get a 3/4 credit to another MTA Tennis tournament. If there
are weather issues and you only play one match, then you will get a 1/2 credit
to another MTA Tennis tournament.

We will have a player lunch on Saturday from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at JDS. We will have Popsicle as well!!

DRAW FORMAT
If there are 8 or more players in the draw, there will be a 3rd and 4th playoff. 6-7 or less players will feed-in to the semis. 5 or less will play a round robin

WITHDRAWING FROM TOURNAMENT
Withdrawal Prior to Entry Deadline: Go to the Tournament website and click "EDIT REGISTRATION" on the right side of your screen then "Withdraw". From there you can withdraw. If you do not know your Confirmation #, then click "Locate Confirmation" just below "Withdraw." We cannot withdraw you, you must do this yourself. You will lose the processing fee if you do not withdraw online before registration closes.
Withdrawal After Entry Deadline: Immediately contact the tournament to withdraw from the tournament. You must email your withdrawal. DO NOT call to withdraw. The email is daltondeuce@aol.com. If the player is not playing because of an injury or illness, the player shall provide written verification of the injury or illness from a medical professional no later than the last scheduled day of the tournament. There are No refunds after selections are made.
Withdrawing during the tournament: You must see the trainer and get approval from the Head Referee at the John Drew Smith Tennis Center. Do not tell just anyone at the desk and think you have properly defaulted. Unless you speak to the Head Referee in person, it will count as a "No Show." WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY WITHDRAWALS OVER THE PHONE!

TOURNAMENT SCORING FORMAT
16 -draw format: Saturday & Sunday
Scoring Format for
Boys/Girls 12-18: Main & Consolation Draw – 2 out of 3
sets with a 10-point tiebreaker in lieu of a full third set. Feed in through Quarters (draws with 7 or less will feed in through Semis)
Boys/Girls 10s: Main
& Consolation Draws - Short
Scoring (4-game pro sets with ad); 3rd set seven (7) point match tie-break. 3 FIC matches could be played on Sunday to complete the FIC

10 & UNDER YOUTH TENNIS PROGRESSION LEVELS
The 10U division Green Level 1 - Boys and Girls 10's will play on the 78 foot court using Green Low Compression Balls and up to 29" racquet. The required scoring format for 10's singles matches, shall be the best of TWO short sets - Ad Scoring (first to four(4) games and win by two e.g 4-0, 4-1 4-2, or 5-3), with a set tiebreak (first to seven (7) and win by two) at 4-4 in each set. A match tiebreaker (first to seven (7) and win by two) in lieu of the third set.

Selection and Seeding Guidelines: Player selections will use the most recent Georgia Standings. Seeding list will use most recent Southern Standings.

ON-SITE STRINGER
A Stringer will be available at John Drew Smith Tennis Center
|
TRAINER
A trainer WILL NOT be available for this tournament. We will have basic medical supplies needed during the event.

WARM-UP COURTS
The facility will open at 7AM. Courts will be available until 745am to warm-up. After this time Mercer University will be our Warm Up facility.
