Draws/Schedules Published -- Separate Men's and Women's Compass Draws Used
Given the intent to give players multiple matches, coupled with range of NTRP ratings for registered players, this tournament is using separate Compass Draws for all Men and for all Women. The draws have been constructed so that the highest-rated players are "seeded," and the remaining draw lines filled as follows:
Men: the sole 5.0 Man and 4.5 Man were seeded #1-2 respectively; the remaining six 4.0 Men fill the remainder of the lines. IF ratings hold, the 5.0 and 4.5 man will meet in the final; the 4.0 Men will play a match against a stronger opponent followed by matches against other 4.0 Men. All players will play 3 matches. All Men's matches will play in Bubble #2, following initial check-in at 6:50pm in Bubble #1.
Women: the two 4.5 Women were "seeded" #1-2 respectively;the two 4.0, 3.5, and 3.0 Women were dispersed through the draw in such a way that players will play 1-2 matches against opponents at a different NTRP rating; but IF the ratings "hold," then a final match head-to-head against a player with the identical rating. All players will play 3 matches. All Women's matches will play in Bubble #1 with an initial report time for all players of 6:50pm. All player positions are now filled in the 8-person Compass draw.
