THE QUALIFYING TOURNAMENT WILL BE HELD AS A 1 WEEKEND TOURNAMENT ON MARCH 19 AND MARCH 20 WHICH IS SANCTIONED BY NORCAL. THE SEMIFINALISTS WILL THEN BE QUALIFIED FOR THE MAIN DRAW = QUARTERFINALS WHICH IS NOT SANCTIONED BY NORCAL = YOU WILL BE PLAYING FOR THE $2,000 PRIZE $ AND THE WINNER WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY ADVANCED TO THE FINALS OF THE SHOOTOUT THAT WILL PLAY FOR THE QUALIFYING WILDCARD IN THE APTOS CHALLENGER ON AUGUST 5TH...........THE SCHEDULE OF PLAY FOR THE MAIN DRAW = QUARTERS {2 MATCHES WILL PLAY APRIL 1 AND MAY 6. SEMIS MATCHES WILL PLAY JUNE 3.. FINALS = ON JULY 1. AUGUST 5TH WILL BE A NEW FORMAT = THERE WILL BE A SHOOTOUT FOR ANYONE WISHING TO GET INTO THE QUALIFYING = ENTRY FEE TBD...THE NORDIC CHAMPION WILL PLAY THE WINNER OF THE SHOOTOUT FOR THE WILDCARD SPOT. THE NORDIC WINNER WILL STILL EARN THE PRIZE $ THOUGH. THE TOP 4 SEEDS WILL HAVE A BYE TO THE QUARTERS = BLOCK SEEDED. PLAY FOR MENS OPEN SINGLES WILL BE 2 OUT OF 3 SETS. IF ON QUALIFYING WEEKEND THE DRAW IS LARGER THAN 16 PLAYERS = A MATCH TIE-BREAK FOR THE 3RD MAY BE USED FOR THE PLAYING FORMAT. WILSON US OPEN TENNIS BALLS WILL BE USED.

Draws will be posted by Wed morning. Please look at the competitor list and make sure you are in the correct event. IF YOU SEE ANY ERRORS IN ENTRIES = EMAIL Chris: arnstennis@gmail.com RIGHT AWAY SO DRAWS CAN BE CORRECTED. All NTRP singles and doubles will play 2 out of 3 sets w/ a match tie-break for the 3rd set. We are using wilson u.s. open balls. We will have 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5 singles and doubles and mixed. NTRP PORTION OF THE TOURNEY = 2 DAY TOURNEY.

All NTRP Players Must Have an NTRP Rating
All players participating in a USTA NorCal sanctioned NTRP tournament must have an NTRP rating. If you do not have an NTRP rating, please click "more info" to obtain a self-rating.

All Pre-Tournament correspondence should be emailed to
arnstennis@gmail.com. For Men's Open matches, you will play a full
2 out of 3 sets. All NTRP matches will use Match Tie Breaks in
singles and doubles in lieu of a 3rd set. All questions
before/during/after the tournament should be emailed to Tournament
Director Chris Arns at arnstennis@gmail.com.
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, March 13, 2016 11:59:00 PM Pacific Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
