All unplayed matches may be privately arranged and played within 30 days from the end of the tournament. Please report scores to Referee Bard Rickey as soon as the matches are finished. My e-mail address is above. In order for the results and points to count for 2013 Grand Prix, matches must be played and scores reported by Sunday, Sept. 29.
SCHEDULE UPDATE: Sat. 7:40 pm
Sunday schedule is now available. Due to remaining schedule conflicts with people playing 2 events, some matches are not scheduled. We will try to work those in during the day Sunday, but these may not happen. Sorry, but this is what happens when rain washes out a full afternoon.
4:10 pm..Play is cancelled for the rest of Saturday. New schedule will be available at 8:00 pm.
Matches that were "in progress" will be the first to start in the morning. Our plan is to shorten singles matches to 2 sets with a 10 pt. match tie-break in lieu of a 3rd set. Doubles format will not change, still 2 sets with a 10 pt match tie-break in lieu of a 3rd set.
SUNDAY DOUBLES: Men's Dbls, Women's Dbls, and Mixed Dbls matches that do not have a scheduled time will be played on Sunday. Those times will be published on Saturday evening and will be based on the availability of the players competing in those matches.
All NTRP Players Must Have an NTRP Rating
All players participating in a USTA NorCal sanctioned NTRP tournament must have an NTRP rating. If you do not have an NTRP rating, please click "more info" to obtain a self-rating.
Concurrent Tournament Rule
A player shall not be entered at the time entries close in two or more USTA sanctioned tournaments scheduled to take place at the same time, in whole or in part, unless each Tournament Committee involved understands the situation, concurs in writing, and each agrees to accommodate the player’s schedule. The final decision rests with each tournament committee. If one tournament agrees to accept concurrent entries and accommodate the player's schedule but the concurrent tournament does not, the player may not enter both.
If entries for the overlapping tournaments close on different dates, approval must be received from all Tournament Committees no later than the entry closing date that occurs last.
Players who enter a tournament and play it to completion, may then enter another tournament with overlapping dates without permission.
If a player violates this concurrent tournament rule ranking points earned in any concurrent tournament played will not count toward ranking or the Grand Prix Points Race.
Players are limited to two events: either one singles and one
doubles event or one mixed doubles and one men's or women's
doubles. All singles matches will be best of 3 tiebreak sets with a
minimum rest period of one hour between matches. All doubles
matches will use a modified format in which a 10 point match
tiebreaker will be used in lieu of the third set. A one-half hour
minimum rest period is guaranteed between all doubles matches. If
you cannot play on Friday evening you must request an avoidance. If
the avoidance cannot be granted you will be refunded your entry fee
less the Tennislink administrative fee. Be prepared to play two
rounds per event entered over the weekend. Players may enter
singles and doubles in different divisions.
