Tournament start, finish and draws:
The tournament will begin at 2pm on Saturday 5/19 with an aim to
finish by 6pm. The novice and open divisions for boys are merged
into one group of six players, who will be split into 2 groups of
3, each group playing a full round robin, 1 set matches, 4 games
per set, then the winners of each round robin will play a 2 out of
3 set match, 4 games per set, super tie breaker in lieu of a 3rd
set. The same for the 2nd place finishers of each round robin, and
the 3rd place finishers. The novice and open divisions for girls
are merged into one group of three players, who will play a full
round robin, 2 out of 3 sets, 4 games per set, super tie breaker in
lieu of a 3rd set. After singles matches are complete, there will
be doubles matches, including some mixed doubles so all will play.
Drinks and snacks for the players and parents will be provided.
Trophies will be presented to all players!
Welcome to the inaugural TAUT Battle at the Bay! For boys and
girls, ages 10 and under (must turn 11 in June 2012 or later).
Choose skill level Novice (beginner) or Open (experienced). This is
a USTA NorCal sanctioned tournament, so will use full 78' courts
and low compression green balls. Entrants are required to play
singles and doubles, $35 covers both.
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Monday, May 14, 2012 11:59:00 PM Pacific Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
