About the Tournament A premier senior tennis event in the High Country of North Carolina. The Yonahlossee Racquet Club situated between Boone and Blowing Rock expects to attract more than 225 senior (ages 35 - 75) tennis players from the Southeast for the 19th Annual Gladys Hackworth Tournament. In 2004, the tournament was recognized as NC Tournament of the Year. Gladys and Bob Hackworth, who are part-time NC residents, will again be Presenting Sponsors. For the past several years, the tournament has raised money to benefit Watauga County Habitat for Humanity. This worthwhile charity serves the High Country at the grass roots level to eliminate sub-standard housing from the community.
