MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE DRAWS
Matches will not be rescheduled to accommodate players' schedules in other sporting events. Some events may be combined if there are insufficient entries to support an event. Everyone who plays 75+ events will have only an Open division; there will be no Challenger divisions for 75+ players. If you have won a medal in the Challenger division, you could be moved into the Open division in order to make it fair for the players in the Challenger division (this will be done on a case-by-case basis). It has been our experience that some players will quit the tournament before it finishes. Each player owes it to the other players and the tournament to finish all scheduled matches. The draws will be posted on www.usta.com by using the tournament id number: 250044320. There will also be a link on the tennis page at www.seniorgames.net.
|
THE DRAWS WILL BE POSTED BY MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 27TH.
|
WE NEED YOUR CONTACT NUMBER
It is common that the tournament or site directors will need to contact you during the tournament. When you sign in for the games on Sunday, please provide a working CELL PHONE NUMBER so we can reach you. Very important!
|
TOURNAMENT FORMAT & SCORING
The tournament format will be a Feed-In Consolation through the Semi-Finals. This means that the losers of the Main Draw Semi-Finals will feed into the Consolation and will play for the Bronze Medal. The smaller draws could play a Round-Robin format.
The scoring for all events will be best-of-three sets with a 7-point Tie-Breaker at 6-6 in the first two sets, and in the case of split-sets, a 10-point Match Tie-Breaker will be played in lieu of the third set.
|
SEEDING
In some events, the draws can be seeded using the current USTA national standings. This will be combined with results from the past few years (mostly those who have medalled), where needed. If you think you could be considered for a seed, please provide the tournament director with any information, including your player record.
|
SCHEDULE
Mens' Singles, Womens' Singles, Mens' Doubles, Womens' Doubles, and Mixed Doubles will play each day. If you are entered in two events, you will most likely play a match in each event each day. In a rare case, you might not play on consecutive days in order for the consolation round to catch up from the main draw. This is the schedule: Monday, Oct. 4 - 8:00 am - 7:30 pm Tuesday, Oct.5 - 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Wednesday, Oct. 6 - 8:00 am - 7:30 pm Thursday, Oct. 7 - 8:00 am - 7:30 pm Friday, Oct. 8 - 8:00 am - 7:30 pm Saturday, Oct. 9 - 8:00 am - 7:30 pm
