Rain Delay #4
As of 10:45 a.m all draws and match times have been updated online. The fog is dissipating and the wind is picking up. When you arrive for your match, please check-in by texting (210) 421-0108.

Rain Delay #3
The dense fog in our area has kept us from making any progress on squeegeeing, so we have decided to postpone our first round matches to 11:30 a.m. Weather predictions have the sun coming out and winds picking up in order for us to play today.
|
Rain Delay #2
We have not seen much change in the weather this morning so we have decided to postpone an additional hour. We are now on a 2.5 hour delay. 8:00 a.m. matches are now set for 10:30 a.m.
|
Rain Delay #1
Due to the inclement weather in the area we are having to postpone the start of our tournament to 9:30 a.m. At this moment all matches will be postponed by one and a half hours. I will send another message around 7:00 a.m. if I feel as though we need to push back the start time even further.

Virtual Check-In and Reporting:
* Please text the Site Director, for our site (listed below), the player’s name FROM THE PHONE YOU WILL BE USING FOR CHECK-IN THIS WEEKEND. This will allow the tournament director to save the contact information. * Players will check-in for their matches and report their scores via text to their Site Director. * By setting up this “virtual check-in”, we hope to prevent players from congregating near the tournament desk. We ask that players wait in their vehicles for their match to be called in order to minimize the number of players at the site at one time. * Please plan to arrive at your site 15 mins prior to your scheduled match time. Due to the scheduling of the tournament, to maintain a limited number of players/spectators onsite at any given time, we will not be attempting to put on early matches so arriving/checking-in 15 mins prior to the match is highly suggested. When you arrive, please text your Site Director that you have arrived. * John Doe 10:15 match check-in - We only need player name & scheduled match time. * When both players have virtually checked-in and a court is available, the Site Director will text both players and advise which court for the players to report to. A reply text could read: * Doe and Smith report to Court #8 * At this point, players will have 5 min to report to court and be ready to start warm-up. Bathroom runs and making sure players have adequate water for their match should be done PRIOR to the virtual check-in 15 mins prior to match time. There will be no water/ice to refill water bottles, so please bring plenty of back-up water and ice. Every site will sell sealed water bottles and gatorades if needed for $1 each. * A can of new match balls will be on court when the players arrive. * Players: DO NOT use a traditional handshake before or after your match. Please use a “racquet shake”, “air high five” or “air fist bump”. * Once the match is finished, leave the balls on the court and report your score via text to the Site Director. Please allow 10 minutes for scores to be posted. The next match times will be viewable online at that time. * Tournament staff will be picking up prior match balls. * Players must provide their own chair during their match. * We will be scheduling matches to minimize the number of people each participant will encounter. Matches should be on schedule all day as we have allotted more time in the schedule. * If players or parents have questions, please text the Tournament Director at 210-421-0108.
