IMPT: Monday Withdrawal Rule - Please Read
Players are required to inform the tournament desk or tournament director the day before of their intent not to complete their matches on the last day of the tournament. This must occur no later than 6pm Sunday for singles draws that end on Monday. It also can be done within 15 minutes of completing their final match of the day (whichever is later). For this tournament, all players must inform the site or tournament director by Sunday at 6pm for Monday (11/9) matches. The director will inform the opponent immediately of any withdrawals. Players who pull out after Sunday at 6pm will have their match coded as a withdrawal and will receive no ranking points for their wins in that tournament. If a player gets injured or ill after that 6pm deadline and they think it's important to "keep their ranking points" they (the player) will need to physically show up on Monday morning and pull out in person in order to have that match coded a walkover and retain their points.

WARMING UP AT PLAYING LOCATIONS
All locations will be available for warm-up prior to 8am matches. Because we're using all 36 courts in the MAP footprint, there will not be courts available during the day. There are many public courts available in neighboring cities, such as McKinney and Frisco. Frisco ISD, for example, has 100 plus courts (11 high schools, 18 middle schools) that are open to the public on weekends.
|
HOTELS
There are limited hotels in the Melissa/Anna/Princeton area. However, there are many choices in north McKinney along the Interstate 75 corridor, and the playing sites are east/northeast from there.

ON SITE ALTERNATES FOR B14
Any player who registered for the tournament and is on the alternate list may be an on-site alternate Saturday morning at Princeton HS. Alternates must check in at the tournament desk. If an opening becomes available (either someone withdraws late this evening or no-shows on Saturday) on-site alternates will be chosen to replace the withdrawn player based on their order on the published alternate list. Players must be "on-site" in order to be considered for a spot on Saturday. Currently, the next four players on the alternate list are: 70) Deem 71) Cruz 72) Laffita 73) Lambert

CHECK IN PROCEDURE - Please register at your playing site 15-30 minutes before your first match. |
Please recheck your draws before Friday as there may be changes due to withdrawals.
|
Court Surface - All matches will be played on hard courts

Excessive Overrule Guideline: The USTA Texas Officials Committee along with the Competitive Department has established a guideline in reference to excessive overrules as clarified in the Friend at Court. This guideline states "Once a player has been overruled for a second time in a match, they will be cautioned that after another overrule, they will be penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct under the point penalty system."

Inappropriate umpire/spectator communication, whether it be about a ruling or any other facet of a tennis event is prohibited while a match is in progress. Being a parent, coach, etc. does not endow special privileges. With the only exception of the right to remove their own child from competition at any time, a parent or coach is merely a spectator.
|
USTA Texas "No Late Entries" Policy for Juniors Due to a new USTA Texas internal procedure, junior division players will NOT be able to register for a tournament after the online published deadline. We are aware that currently parents reach out via email or phone to the USTA Texas staff and/or tournament director requesting to be manually added to the tournament after online registration has closed. If a player misses the registration deadline, then he/she will not be permitted to participate in that tournament
|
Registration Confirmation: As a parent or player it is your responsibility to assure registration in the event. Regardless if you register on the website or mobile app after completing the registration you should visit the USTA web driven site and confirm your registration by finding the player in the applicants list. If you select to skip this process please be aware that should any malfunctions of the system occur, players will not be granted late entrance in the event due to a system error.
|
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, October 29, 2020 11:59:00 PM Central Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
