Notes
Hello Tennis Families,
We are excited to host the Level 4 starting Friday morning at the
Apex Tennis Center (16s). Please check the current competitors and
alternate list to verify your status and reach out if you have any
questions.
If you are playing in the tournament it is required that you fully
read the entire email so you are aware of all of our expectations
and policies that we are implementing. (yes, it is long, but in
order for us to host this we had to make sure we take precautions
to keep players safe during the tournament, and also not put in
jeopardy the use of our facility for our patrons after the
tournament wraps up)
We hope to posting the draws late tonight or early tomorrow (we
are coordinating 4 locations/age groups), so if for any reason you
know you cannot play in the tournament, please let us know before
tonight at midnight. We have players on the alternate list that
would love the opportunity to play. We want to avoid any defaults
or walkovers
Keep in mind that all players have had their match opportunities
restricted, so we stress that players play through every match and
avoid defaults (unless health or emergency related)
We have a pretty tight schedule set for the tournament, so
avoidance requests may not be accepted due to keeping the
tournament moving.
USTA LEVEL 4 COVID-19 GUIDELINES
- At this time due to the large number of participants, we can
only allow 1 spectator per player. We are considering opening it up
to 2 spectators per player on Sunday and Monday, but we will not
make that determination until we feel it is safe to do so. The
actions of spectators on Friday and Saturday will determine if we
open up the allowance. Everyone must check in through the outside
gate (do not go into the main tennis building) We will hand out
lanyards/badges for spectators. Spectators must wear masks at all
times and display the lanyard/badge. Players must wear masks when
not on court, so please put your mask on when leaving the court
after your match.
Please abide by this allowance, as we cannot have large numbers
on site and must follow the Jefferson County Public Health
mandate
