SEMI'S WILL START ARUND 230 PM. FINALS TO FOLLOW SEMI'S ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON. ALSO 3 AND 4 PLAYOFF TO BE PLAYED ALSO!
EACH PLAYER WILL BE IN A ROUND ROBIN GROUP. THERE ARE 4 GROUPS IN GIRLS AND BOYS. THE WINNER OF EVERY ROUND ROBIN GROUP WILL ADVANCE TO SEMI"S AND THEN FINALS. THERE WILL ALSO BE A 3RD AND 4TH PLAYOFF
2 SHORT SETS TO 4. PLAY 7 POINT TIEBREAKER AT 4-4. EACH MATCH WILL USE NO ADD SCORING. IF MATCH SPLITS SETS A 3 MIN ON COURT COACHING BREAK WILL OCCUR. THEN A 7 POINT TIEBREAKER WILL DECIDE MATCH

Please be aware that players do not have the option to register for doubles as this tournament does not offer doubles now in order to follow USTA & Southern guidelines for player safety.

Thank you for joining the Boy 10 Southern Championships tournament. Covid-19 has sideline
tournaments and we are happy to be back. The way we do business will change a
little to ensure the safety of everyone. Protocols will be in place to help
guarantee our tournaments completion.

In response to the COVID-19, we will be using Match Tennis App’s Virtual
Tournament Desk technology to help facilitate CDC best practices.
In order to compete in this event, all competitors MUST click the below "MORE INFORMATION" to fill out the check-in form, and sign the waiver for this tournament.
VIRTUAL TOURNAMENT DESK ***MANDATORY FOR ALL PLAYERS***
For the safety of all Tournament players, parents, coaches and staff we
will NOT be using a physical tournament desk where social gathering is most
common. We instead will be using Match Tennis App’s Virtual Tournament Desk to
help facilitate CDC guidelines for social distancing. Please click the “more
info” link to learn how we will be using VTD to keep you SAFE during the
tournament: Players should check in 15 minutes before match.
USTA SOUTH CAROLINA RETURN TO PLAY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ALL USTA SOUTH CAROLINA JUNIOR TOURNAMENTS
Junior tournaments will be limited to singles competition, no doubles,
through the month of August. • o . o Players should take change over breaks on opposite
sides of the court or be spaced 6 feet off the net (creating 12 feet between
players). 4 players should not have their bags/chairs between 2 courts. o
Playe. o USTA SC can help provide extra orange
and green tennis balls for tournament use. • If possible, players should take
change over breaks on opposite sides of the court. If this is not possible,
chairs should be set at a minimum of 6 feet off the net creating 12 feet of

shade structures should be occupied if players cannot be socially distanced. •
Players, not officials, will retrieve errant tennis balls. If a ball is not
retrievable, a new ball will be thrown in. No like-wear tennis balls.
FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES TO ENSURE YOU'LL RECEIVE COURT ASSIGNMENTS VIA TEXT
* When setting up your Match Tennis App account, all family members
should sign in with the same username and password.
* Make sure you add three DIFFERENT contact numbers during the
Pre Tournament Virtual Check-In THAT WILL BE ON during the
tournament. They all should be cell numbers since messages will be in the form
of texts. When you are called to court, all your contact phones will receive

TOURNAMENT COVID RULES
Players will be called to court through Match Tennis App. Players are
asked to only have on player guest at the tournament.
Players must wear face coverings while not playing. If you go to the restroom
you must wear a mask to and from the restroom.
Player guest will be required to wear a face covering at all times while around

Player Spectator Guidelines/Recommendations
If warm-ups are permitted at a facility:
Limit number of players on a
court to 2. o Limit warm up to 30 minutes if others are waiting.
Do not touch
your opponent’s tennis balls or the tennis balls that may come from an adjacent

Come prepared with
your own: o Hand sanitizer o Sharpie black or brown (this will be used to

Water and Ice will not be available at the sites during Covid.
Some sites will not have Chairs and Umbrella for shade during changeovers this is due to site specific Covid rules.
Avoid touching surfaces where
Withdrawal Before Entries Close on Sunday, August 2nd Go to the Tournament
website under "EDIT REGISTRATION" on the right side of your screen
and click "Withdraw". If you do not know your Confirmation #, then
click "Locate Confirmation" just below "Withdraw." We
cannot withdraw you, you must do this yourself. You will lose the entry fee if
you do not withdraw online before registration closes.
Withdrawal After Entry Deadline: Immediately contact the tournament
by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. In the email subject line include WITHDRAWAL,
your name, and division. DO NOT call to withdraw. There are no refunds after
entries close. All withdrawals for reasons other than illness, injury, and
personal circumstances or withdrawals for any reason without the proper written
notification are actually defaults and Code of Conduct Reports will be
completed for each defaulting player even though an alternate may take that
defaulting player’s place in the draw.
Withdrawing During the Tournament: You must get approval from the
Head Referee in person. If not, it will count as a "No Show." WE WILL
NOT ACCEPT ANY WITHDRAWALS OVER THE PHONE!
RETURN TO PLAY RECOMMENDATIONS USTA JUNIOR TOURNAMENTS Updated May 28, 2020
The United States Tennis Association (USTA)
recognizes that the COVID-19 pandemic has been affecting different parts of the
country in different ways and with different timing. Therefore, we believe
safely returning to play will be possible in some cities and states sooner than
in others. Before doing so, please review federal, state and local guidelines
to make informed decisions as to when play can recommence. In addition to the Playing
Tennis Safely recommendations for players, facilities, and programming issued
by the USTA on April 22, 2020, available on tennisindustryunited.com, here are
some additional recommendations to consider when hosting a USTA Junior
Check with the host facility ahead of time for any protocols that may apply at
Arrive at the facility close to assigned start time, ready to play, and depart
Bring their own water bottles, towel, or any other personal equipment and store
them inside their tennis bag when not in use.
Bring their own chairs and avoid sharing a bench with a teammate and/or

juniors is that of his/her legal supporting parent(s). Individuals must United
States citizens or permanent resident aliens.
USTA Southern office will provide the tournament director with a
Selection List for the tournament.These are the results from the most recently
publicized USTA Southern Combined Standing Lists in order in which the player
appears on the list. These lists are usually sent one or two days after entries
close. Seedings must be done off the most up to date Standing list. In

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
