FACILITY/SAFETY PROCEDURES
Due to the ongoing
concerns of COVID-19, tournaments and the people who participate in them will
need to follow the Arkansas Department of Health’s Directive for Community and
School Sponsored Team Sports. Please click
on the link above to view the State’s Directives:
This
includes:
·
Face coverings are required for all persons
present, except for children under 10 years of age, who are exempt. For outdoor
venues, once attendees are seated and maintaining 6 feet physical distance from
others, face coverings may be removed. However, if moving around where social
distancing is not achievable, such as in food and beverage areas, or any area
where there is confinement such that 6 feet distancing cannot be maintained,
the face covering must be put back in place.

Athletes, Coaches, and Officials may be
without face covering during active play.
Facility Procedures
·
The tournament desk will be in Viewing Room 1
and no more than two (2) players will be allowed in at any time.
·
The bathrooms will be open.
·
Ice will be available – only the staff is
allowed access to the ice machine.
Please bring your own water.
·
There will be no seating for spectators – bring
your own seating. Areas are marked off
where seating is available around the facility to provide social distancing.
·
If we are to go into a rain delay, please check
with the Tournament Director on what the plan will be.
Safety Procedures
·
Do NOT play if you have any symptoms of COVID-19
(see the CDC Guidelines on the link above),
or are not feeling well.
·
Social distancing (6 ft) is required at all
times.
·
Bring your own hand sanitizer.
·
Wash your hands before AND after play.
·
Bring your own equipment (this includes water
bottles, towels, or any other personal equipment that is stored inside of your
tennis bag).
·
Maintain a safe, physical distance between
yourself and your opponent during the racquet spin at the start of the match.
·
Maintain physical distancing if changing ends of
court.
·
Avoid touching the net, fences and gates as much
as possible.
·
If a ball comes onto your court, use your
racquet to send the ball back.
·
Clearly verbalize the score at the start of each
point.
·
After the match, do NOT shake hands—do a racquet
tap, nod, thumbs up or “good match”, then leave the court and go report scores
immediately.
·
Pick up your balls on court after the match and
return them to the tournament desk.

Notes
1. All spectators must wear a mask, including players when not
playing.
2. Players are asked to check in 30 minutes before their match,
Code Violations for lateness will be enforced, play their match,
and then not remain at the facility until their next match. If you
choose to stay, we will be monitoring large groups of spectators to
ensure they staying at least 6 ft apart and wearing a mask.
3. Water coolers, and scorecards will not be on courts. Players
will need to bring their own water, and will be expected to keep up
with the score without aide from scorecards.
4. Spectators must bring their own seating. Bleachers around the
outside loop of the facility will be removed. Seating will allowed
on the outside of both Viewing Rooms, but we will not provide
chairs of any kind for spectators. Viewing Room 1 will be the
tournament desk, and check in only. A maximum of 2 players will be
allowed at any time for check in purposes only. Viewing Room 2 will
remain locked during the entire tournament. Neither Viewing Room
will be allowed for seating to watch matches. Seating areas will be
marked with chalk paint at 6-7 ft intervals. Areas not allowed for
seating will be marked with signs.
5. Restroom doors must remain open at all times.
Hand Sanitizer will be place on all benches between courts for
players. We will also have Hand Sanitizer at the Front Desk,, and
Tournament Desk.
6. Guidelines from the Health Department, and the City of Conway
will be hung at all entrances. These guidelines will be
enforced.
7. If you have any problems or complaints about the directives or
guidelines please come to the Tournament Desk. The staff is there
for monitoring purposes only.
