COVID
DO NOT PLAY
if you have any symptoms of COVID-19 or are not feeling well.
-Face coverings
are required inside the facility
-Social
distancing 6 feet is required at all times
-No one is
allowed indoors to wait for their next match
- You are allowed
to enter the tennis center to use the restroom only.
-At the
check in desk, you must stand 6 feet away from the next person in line
-Bring your
own water containers already prepared with water/ice. We will have replacement water/ice
coolers at the site. Towels and personal items should be placed in your tennis
bag when not being used.
-Wash your
hands before and after your match
-Maintain a
safe, physical distance between yourself and your opponent during the racquet
spin at the start of the match.
-If a ball
rolls on your court from another court, use your foot or racquet to send it
back.
-Do not
shake hands after match, touch racquets or give a thumbs up, or just say “great
match”.
-Lunch will
be provided for tournament players. We encourage you to enjoy your lunch while
social distancing or in your car. Do not sit in groups.
-Five
minute warm up will be enforced by the official.
-Spectators
are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to keep a moderate distance from the courts
and each other.
- I know we
all love our furry friends, but because of the virus please leave them at home.
Treat your pets like human family members and do not let them interact with
people outside your household

Round Robin Scoring Format
6. Round robin Procedure.
Each player in the
round robin shall play every other player in the round robin.
c. Determining order of finish. The player who wins the most
matches is the winner. If two players are tied, then the winner of their head to-head
match is the winner. If three or more players are tied, the Referee shall use
the following steps in the order listed to break all ties. The Referee shall
break as many ties as possible using a given step before using the next step.
These steps are:
• The head-to-head
win-loss record in matches involving just the tied players;
• The player with the highest percentage of sets won of all
sets completed;
• The head-to-head
win-loss record in matches involving the players who remain tied;
• The player with the
highest percentage of games won of all games completed;
• The head-to-head
win-loss record in matches involving the players who remain tied;
• The player with the highest percentage of sets won of sets
completed among players in the group under consideration;
• The head-to-head win-loss record in matches involving the
players who remain tied;
• The player with the highest percentage of games won of
games completed among the players under consideration;
• The head-to-head win-loss record in matches involving the
players who remain tied

Tournament match schedule
Match schedule is posted for 1st and 2nd round of each division. The following rounds will be played after a short rest. This is a quick format and each match should take about 45 minutes.
All doubles divisions will be played and completed on Saturday. Men's 3.5 Singles will start with 2 rounds on Saturday and finish with 3 rounds on Sunday. All other singles divisions will start and finish on Sunday. Our goal is to avoid playing during the hottest part of the day!

Fast 4 scoring format
USTA Southern is proud to offer an exciting format to short sets format known as Fast 4 Tennis. The alternative format focuses on a few simple rules:
* Best of 3 short sets. The first to four games wins the set
* No-ad scoring is used
* Service lets are played
* A set tiebreaker is played at 3 games all. *First-to-five-points, win by 1 for the set tiebreaker. *If you split sets, you play a 7-point match tiebreak, win by 1 point.

PARKING
TOURNAMENT PLAYERS: THERE IS ADDITIONAL PARKING IN THE BACK PARKING LOT OF THE TENNIS FACILITY. THE ENTRANCE IS ON EDEN TERRACE AT THE SULLIVAN MIDDLE SCHOOL.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is restricted. Please consult your Section or District rules and regulations for entry requirements for this tournament. If you enter this tournament and are not eligible, any refund is as the discretion of the Tournament Director. Only USTA members can register online if available.
