This event will take place between 10:45am-3:30pm on 2/23/2020.
Players must be present the entire time or should not register. A
parent/player meeting and check-in will begin prior to play at
10:45 am and everyone is expected to be present for check in and
expectations. There will not be match times posted on the draw.
Only the time of the meeting as play will begin immediately after
and be continuous with minimal breaks until completion.
Draw Format
The Girls Orange has been split into two pools. There will now
be cross over play as one girl had to withdraw due to illness this
morning. So the 1st place finisher in each pool will play one final
match to determine 1st/2nd. The 2nd place finisher in each pool
will play a cross-over for 3/4. The 3rd place finisher in each will
play cross over for 5/6 and the 4th place finisher in one pool will
not have a cross over opponent as the other pool now only has 3
players. The Boys Orange will have one 1st and 2nd place finisher.
The Green divisions have been combined into a co-ed division. There
will be one 1st and 2nd place finisher in that division as
well.
Scoring Format
The Girls and Boys Orange divisions will all play 2/3 short sets
first to 4 games with no ad scoring and a 7 pt tie breaker first to
7 in lieu of 3rd set.
The Co-Ed Green division will all play one short set first to 4
with no ad scoring.
This tournament will be extremely tight to fit in if matches are
lasting longer than 20 minutes for Co-Ed Green and 35 minutes for
Orange divisions. We have 3 indoor courts blocked off and, with the
weather being decent, will need to play some matches outdoors to
stay on schedule or to finish. PLEASE be prepared to play outside.
We will do so to avoid falling should players not start matches
immediately or matches are taking too long to complete.
