COVID-19 Update 7/6/2020
We plan to play our tournament as planned. Due to the ongoing
pandemic we have introduced some extra rules to help ensure player
safety during the event.
1. Arrive only 10 minutes before your scheduled match time. Please
minimize the amount of time you will be on property to avoid
congestion. 2. Bring your own chair for on court seating purposes.
We will have seating but players are strongly encouraged to have
their own for spacing purposes 3. Please bring your own water. We
will have water bottles for sale but no shared water fountains. 4.
Wear your face mask up until you are on court. 5. We will follow
all state guidelines from Rhode Island. SPECTATORS: 1. Must wear
Face mask while entering the property and until they can
consistently keep up to 6 feet between others. 2. If the tournament
Director feels that 6 feet of space is not being maintained you may
be asked to leave. Please spread out as we have a large facility
and plenty of space to watch. If sun or heat is a problem please
plan accordingly with an umbrella for shade. 3. Please bring your
own chair for safe seating purposes. 4. If spectators cause the
overall number of people to exceed state guidelines in a given area
that will be asked to leave or wait in their cars. 5. We do not
allow animals on property from June 1-September 1 to any members or
guest. Please take note that pets cannot join spectators due to
this policy. PLAY 1. We will provide 4 new tennis balls per match
in different #'s. Each player will be assigned their ball # for
their service games In that match. This will help to limit and
possibly avoid any touching of the opponents tennis balls. 2.
Players must keep their space which switching sides or any
instances where they may be coming within 6 feet of each other. 3.
Please be courteous to the safety of all players. We understand
that rules like these can be extra work for players but they are
essential to be able to have events such as this take place.
We will update this page with Rhode Island Mandates as we get
closer to the start date. We hope that can still join us for what
will be a great event. Please direct any question to the tournament
director via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
