Important USTA 2021 Changes
The USTA will be launching a new, simplified nationwide junior tournament competitive structure in January, 2021. These changes will create a standardized system that will drive greater consistency for our players, parents, coaches, tournament directors and officials. These changes will help better address the needs of all our constituents with the goals of driving growth in USTA Junior Tournaments. PLAYER SELECTION & SEEDING
This tournament will use a combination of USTA/Midwest Points Per Round and Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) for player selection and seeding. Players will be selected for the tournament in the following order: 1 - 44 Players based on the most recent USTA/Midwest Standings List in the age division of the tournament 2 - 20 Players based on UTR Players will be seeded for the tournament in the following order: All 16 seeds will be done using UTR. POINTS PER ROUND

MATCH SCORING/DRAW SIZE
Feed-in consolation draw (through the Round of
16). Semi-final losers will playoff for 3rd and 4th place. Front draw matches
are best of three tie-break sets. Consolation matches will be best 2 of 3
tiebreak sets with a 10-point tie-breaker in lieu of a 3rd set. 64 FIC-R16

ORDER OF PLAY
SATURDAY - 2 rounds of main draw and 1 round of consolation singles. SUNDAY - 2 rounds of main draw and 3 rounds of consolation singles. MONDAY - 1 rounds of main draw and 2 rounds of consolation singles.

PLAY SITE LOCATIONS & PRACTICE COURTS & WARM-UP COURTS
All matches will be played at Shadow Valley Tennis Club located at 1661 S. Holland-Sylvania Rd Maumee, Ohio. 419/865-1141. Facility has 8 hard courts and a full fitness center. Practice Courts are available for $20.00 per hour & $10.00 per half hour and must be paid for in advance. There will be no refunds for these courts. Additional practice Courts are available at our 2nd location Shadow Valley at Central, 5400 W. Central Avenue Toledo, Ohio 43615. 419/537-0001. That location is 7 minutes from our site and has the same type of hard courts..

TOURNAMENT HOTEL INFORMATION
Tournament hotel is the Toledo Radisson located at 3100 Glendale Avenue Toledo, Ohio 43614. Phone 419/381-6800. Room rates are $89.00 for a double room with queen beds. Tournament rate is available until 1/20/2020 by using the code MIDWEST. Hotel is less than 10 minutes from the Club and amenities include indoor pool, several restaurants & a fitness center.

TOURNAMENT FEES
1) If your credit card has been declined, please contact the tournament director immediately. You have until noon Monday to pay the entry fee. The tournament director has the option to withdraw you from the competitors list if you have not communicated with them. 2) No refunds after player selection.
