THE JUNIORS WERE EXCEPTIONAL in their behavior and accepting whatever came their way.
THE ORANGE Ball players stayed focused and tried their best and the Green Ball players stayed the course rotating in and out,
WE HOPE everyone enjoyed this short format 1/2 day tournament and they continue to progress and have fun in their competition.

SCORING FORMAT and RULES
All events have been formatted as round robin events to play through as many rounds as possible depending on length of matches and available court as they progress.
ALL EVENTS WILL BE NO ADD SCORING, and to enable the most rounds, opponents, & matches, - most all events will play 4 GAME SETS with tie breaker at 4 games all . (BOTH ORANGE AND GREEN 10s and 12s)
At this time only the girls 10 orange with 3 players will play 2 out 3 sets.
We hope to have a monitor for ORANGE BALL at every 1 or 2 courts and roving monitors for GREEN. We will have a tournament desk for orange draws right next to their courts and a Green tournament desk near their assigned courts,.
PLEASE REMEMBER that this is a USTA tournament level 6 to help and teach but use the rules. Players must ask for help from one of the monitors or officials - please no communication between player and parent or spectators. The juniors are learning the USTA rules and we want to make this tournament a pleasant and positive experience.
MANDATORY MEETING 12:30 PARENTS AND PLAYERS
Check in at 12:30 and we will have a brief meeting for the parents and players to explain the format for each event and answer any questions.
Rotating matches in a round robin draw from 1:00-4:00pm.
WARM UP FOR ALL after meeting and not BEFORE, courts must be maintained after member play.
Refreshments located nearby courts for player's off rotations, finishing with.a awardsss presentation at the completion.
This is a 1/2 day level 6 tournament for beginner to
intermediate players. Play will begin Saturday at 1pm. Parent/
Player check in at 12:30pm, Players should be able to serve and
keep score, but monitors will be available to assist. Notes:

MEDICAL RELEASE FORM
USTA requires a medical release SIGNED BY THE PARENT OR GUARDIAN for every player prior to their first match. Please download, complete, and bring signed form to expedite player check-in. 10 & Under Youth Progression Eligibility
Please be aware this tournament has two 10 & Under Youth Progression divisions. ORANGE BALL DIVISION AND GREEN BALL DIVISION. This means that in order to play in a 10 & Under division, you must be eligible for that corresponding level. If you are not able to register for a 10 & Under singles event, that means you are not eligible for that level. To find out more information call PJ Fulmer at (803) 781-2574.
Tournament/Match Check In
BRING YOUR MEDICAL FORM TO CHECK-IN
Please check-in for the tournament 30 min. early. Tournament check-in will be available at both locations beginning Friday at 3:00 p.m. Please check into your site of play. If you are not scheduled to play Friday, the check-in is not mandatory, only check in at least 30 min. prior to your first match.
Boys and Girls 10's Orange Ball Divsions
Boy's and Girl's ORANGE BALL divisions will be played on a 60' court using a low compression orange ball. Racquet size is limited to 25" or smaller. Draw format will be determined by the number of participants. Scoring format as follows: 2 out of 3 short sets using NO AD scoring, first to 4 games (win by 2). A 7 point tiebreak is played if players reach 4 all. If players split sets then a 7 point tiebreak is played for the 3rd set (win by 2). THERE IS NO COACHING BETWEEN THE 2nd AND 3rd SET BREAK IN THE 10 & UNDER DIVISIONS. Doubles will be a 6 game pro set.
Boys and Girls 10's Green Ball Divisions

SC L6 Player Eligibility Requirements
must not have accumulated more than 50 Points (12s-18s) from any state in the
Current Standings of any division. 10U
players must play the division that they are currently in for Youth Tennis
Progression. Players must be able to
serve. Players should be able to keep
score; however, court monitors may be provided to assist beginner players with
2020 USTA Southern Youth Progression Update
Please note that
starting January 2020 USTA Southern’s Youth Progression has changed from
offering 2 levels of Orange ball to only one level of Orange ball - Orange
Level 1. Players will now start at Orange Level 1 and progress to Green Level 1
then to Mission Complete/Yellow Ball. Youth Progression point distribution has
