TOURNAMENT DESK HOTLINE AND TOURNAMENT DESK LOCATION
When play is in progress, a
tournament hotline is available to contact the tournament desk directly with

For indoor events, the tournament
desk will be located behind court 1 on the concourse level.
For outdoor events, the tournament
desk will be located next to court 11 near the courtyard area.

BASELINE TENNIS CENTER REFUND POLICY
Players who withdraw
after the entry deadline for any reason other than a previously authorized
entry into concurrent tournaments are not entitled to a refund.
If a player has previously paid an entry fee and is not
accepted into the tournament, the player is entitled to a refund. Generally, in
USTA Junior Tournaments, no player is charged an entry fee until tournament selection
is done and the acceptance list is published to the tournament website. The
TennisLink processing fee, paid in addition to the entry fee, is not
If a player has previously received written authority to enter
concurrent tournaments from each Tournament Committee, the player is entitled
to a refund from the tournament(s) that will not be played. The TennisLink
processing fee, paid in addition to the entry fee, is not refundable.
DOMINANT DUO TOURNAMENT FORMAT
Players compete as two (2) person
teams. A team match consists of one (1)
doubles match, followed by two (2) singles matches. Each match is worth 1 point for the team score. Whichever team wins best of 3 points will
advance in the draw or earn a team win.
For example, Team A defeats Team B in doubles 8-6; Team B wins both
singles matches 8-4 and 8-2. Team B
advances with a team match score of 2-1.
Players are guaranteed at least two (2) team matches, but
will hopefully receive 3 or 4 matches in a weekend. A team match consists of 1 doubles and 2
singles. Even with a minimum of 2 team
matches, a player is guaranteed 2 doubles matches and 2 singles matches OR four
(4) 8-game pro-sets. Be sure to read the
match formats below for further clarification.
DOMINANT DUO REGISTRATION
Players must register for BOTH
Singles and Doubles. Players MUST
indicate their partner during registration.
No exceptions to this rule.
If you do not have a partner, but
would still like to participate, you can visit the “Google Sheet” at the link
below and check for a fellow competitor’s contact info or add your contact info
to the sheet. Once you confirm a
partner, go ahead and register and remove your info from the “Google Sheet.”
DOMINANT DUO MATCH AND DRAW FORMATS
All matches will play an 8-game pro set, with a 7-point
tiebreak at 8-8, no-ad scoring (receiver’s choice)
Draws will be either compass draw or round robin type.
The tournament director reserves
the right to change match formatting in case of extremely large draws, weather
related issues, or other unforeseen issues.
SCHEDULE OF PLAY
The tournament is scheduled for the dates listed above. Players are expected to be available for all
dates listed on the homepage. Please
read through Baseline’s refund policy in its entirety before registering.
Exact match scheduling will be released no later than 36
hours prior to the start of play (ie Wednesday evening for a tournament that
begins on Friday). The entire weekend’s
schedule will be released at that time.
The tournament director reserves the right to alter the schedule in case
of conflicts that arise due to weather, court and player availability etc.
OFFICIATING (ROVING ONLY)
It is the intention of the
tournament to have one roving official at the facility throughout the
competition. There may be times that an
official is not available, the tournament desk will always be staffed to help answer
questions and help with any issues on court and will have direct communication
with the tournament director as needed.

Due to the close proximity of the Baseline Tennis Center to 4
major athletic venues, parking may be at event rates (up to $10.00/car) with no
in/out privileges. Metered parking is available behind the building at $1.25/hr
as available. Please consider carpooling, walking a longer distance, etc. to
minimize the impact of these events. We apologize for any inconvenience this
causes. A parking event calendar is at the link below. The calendar will show events, lots affected
and times in which event parking will be enforced.
Practice courts prior to the start
of the tournament can be purchased by calling the front desk at
612-625-1433. Indoor courts are available
at a public junior rate of $28 per hour + applicable sales tax. Outdoor courts are available at a public rate
of $8 per hour + applicable sales tax.
During the tournament, practice courts may not be available. Please check with the tournament desk when
on-site to inquire if courts are available for practice and warm-up purposes.
A stringer will always be on site
during business hours. We are able to turn around any racquet within 24 hours.
For most requests, we are able to complete in a couple hours. If players
provide their own string, we charge only $21 per racquet. If you require
string, we carry most Babolat synthetic string brands. Contact our pro shop directly for more
NO MEDICAL TRAINER
There will not be a trainer on
site. If a player needs treatment on
court, the player may designate a parent or guardian to treat them. In case of emergency, the tournament desk
will call 911.
WATER, ICE, AND TOWELS
Ice will be available at the
Water is available at all levels of
Baseline and will also be available at the tournament desk.
Baseline does not have a towel
service on site, please bring your own court towels.
Baseline has public locker rooms
for daily use including shower facilities, but again, there is NO TOWEL
SERVICE. You will have to provide your
SEEDING - The Computerized List Method will be used for seeding (FAC Comment II.A-4), based on the current standings/ranking list.
IMPORTANT - LEVEL 5 TOURNAMENTS
All 10's events will be non-elimination format and take place on the same day.
All 12's events for boys and girls within a Level 5 will be played with the green dot ball on a 78ft court. Selections will be based on the most current standings/rankings list after entries close.
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, July 12, 2020 9:59:00 PM Central Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
