USTA Player Early Development Camps(EDC) provide 10u players
with instruction and evaluation from USTA Coaching Staff and
section coaches who have proven coaching success. EDC is one of the
components of USTA's 10u Youth Progression System.
For 2019, camps are capped at 24 players per camp. Each camp is 2
days, Saturday(3 hours) and Sunday(3-4hrs. ). Saturday consists of
a specially developed curriculum with a low player/coach ratio.
Sunday is a sanctioned level 7(for orange dot) tournament
exclusively for the camp participants. All participants will
receive 450 youth progression points for the camp and tournament.
Tournament champion will receive an additional 200 progression
points, tournament finalist an additional 150 progressions points.
To progress through orange dot, a player needs to earn 1000
progression points. Participation in this event guarantees almost
1/2 of those points. Players must attend both days to receive
credit for the event.
Tournament winners & finalists will be invited to an
Invitational Grand Prix Tournament and event in early 2020.
All campers receive a t-shirt, goodie bag, appropriate youth
