Draws and Match Times
The draws have been posted and all matches have been schedule. For those who submitted a schedule request, we have taken those into account. NO CHANGES CAN BE MADE NOW THAT THE DRAWS ARE POSTED. Please make allowances for traffic, etc. when traveling to Blakeney for your match. We do have several matches on Friday evening. Lateness penalties will be enforced. See you this weekend!!!

PLAYER SELECTIONS
We have completed player selections. There were not enough participants in the Men's and Women's Open Singles divisions so they have been cancelled. We have also combined some of the divisions to ensure we have enough participants. This divisions are: W3.0 Singles & W3.5 Singles, W4.0 Doubles & W 4.5 Doubles, M3.0 Doubles & M3.5 Doubles, MXD 6.0 & MXD 7.0.
ALL MATCHES WILL BE PLAYED AT BLAKENEY RACQUET & SWIM CLUB.
Draws and first match times will be available on Wednesday. The only divisions that will play Friday evening is Men's 4.0 Singles for those matches in the Round of 32 and the first round of the Men's 3.0 Singles Round Robin. All other divisions will begin on Saturday.

Self rate
All players need to have an NTRP rating prior to playing this
tournament. If you do not have a rating, you can self-rate yourself
by:
1. Go to www.nctennis.com.
2. Click on TennisLink under Quick Hits on the right side of the
page.
3. Log in to your USTA account or CREATE an account (right side of
the page in RED) if you do not
currently have one. Player will need his USTA#.
4. Click on "Self Rate" under the "Find NTRP Rating Info" search
box.
5. Follow the instructions and answer the questions provided.
If your minimum rating allowed is higher than you anticipated, make
sure to click on the link to file a self- rate appeal.

Players may play 1 singles, 1 gender doubles or 1 mixed
doubles.
Age eligibility
Players must be 18 or older to participate in this tournament
Combo Mixed Doubles eligibility
Players combined ratings may not exceed the combined NTRP level.

ratings.
Withdrawals
If you need to withdraw before entries close, you must do so
online.Click on "edit registration", then Withdraw. You will need
your original confirmation #. All withdrawals after entries close
must be emailed to the TD.

close of registration.

be submitted by Sunday, April 16, 2017 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time.

1. ALL PLAYERS MUST HAVE A NTRP RATING TO PLAY IN THIS
TOURNAMENT
NTRP SELF-RATING All players need to have an NTRP rating prior
to playing this tournament. If you do not have a rating, you can
self-rate yourself
2. COMBO MIXED DOUBLES ELIGIBILITY
Mixed Combo 5.0-9.0 doubles with the players combined ratings not
exceeding the combined NTRP level and with no more than ONE (1)
point difference in players NTRP ratings.
3. FORMAT AND SCORING
The format for all divisions is FMLC (First Match Losers
Consolation). All matches will play a 10-point match tiebreaker
instead of a 3rd set.
4. PLAYER'S RESPONSIBILITY
It is the PLAYER'S responsibility to know their next match time and
show up in a timely manner. Check the website often for updated
match times. PLAYERS MUST CHECK IN FOR EACH MATCH 30 MINUTES PRIOR
TO ITS SCHEDULED START TIME. ALL USTA RULES WILL BE ENFORCED FOR
LATENESS.
5. SEEDING
This tournament's seeding will be done in accordance with USTA
Regulations. They will be compiled and examined by the Head
Referee, Tournament Director, and members of the Tournament
Committee. Factors to consider in seeding (taken from "USTA Friend
at Court"): Seedings merely represent the Committee's subjective
ratings of the various players' chances of winning the tournament.
These ratings may not be based on whim, caprice, or hunches, but
instead shall be justified by a reasonable amount of factual
evidence, including, but not limited to, rankings, current records,
types of surface, and particularly head-to-head encounters. Two
outstanding doubles players playing together for the first time
should be considered for a place on the seeded list.
6. WITHDRAWALS
If you need to withdraw before entries close, you must do so
online. Click on "Edit Registration," then "Withdraw." You will
need your original confirmation number. All withdrawals after
"Entries Close" must be sent BOTH in writing via email (to the
Tournament Director's address above) AND by phone to the tournament
site. Players withdrawing after the tournament deadline will not be
refunded the entry fee.
7. LIMITED DRAWS/EVENTS AND SELECTION PROCESS
Limited Draws/Events: Draws may be limited in some divisions. A
player may enter up to 2 divisions but not in the same category
(ex: two singles divisions) Selection Process: The top players
applying from the USTA/NC most current standings list will be
selected into the draw. The names of players who have been selected
will appear as "Competitors."
8. JUNIOR AGE RESTRICTIONS
This Adult NTRP tournament allows Juniors to play. However, the
Junior must be at least 18 years old before the start of the
tournament. If you have questions about this, please contact the
Tournament Director.
