IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING SOUTHERN LEVEL 3 TOURNAMENTS
Limited Draws - All divisions are limited to 32 players each.
Selection Process
USTA Southern will provide the selection list.
Players will be selected directly from the USTA Southern Standing list
in the age division in which they apply. Players will no longer be considered for selection based on their lower age group.
Each group of 32 players selected from each age group will be divided
into two draws of 16 each. We will be using a waterfall system to make
sure each of the two draws are balanced by strength. A change to this
process is that prior to splitting players using the waterfall system,
the players selected from the younger age group will be placed in their
proper position based on strength. The 32 players were split as follows:
Red 1,4,5,8,9,12,13,16,17,20,21,24,25,28,29,32. Blue
2,3,6,7,10,11,14,15,18,19,22,23,26,27,30,31.
Independent Draws - There will be an Independent Consolation Draw for players who lose in
the First Round of the Consolation, and they will play one more round
unless there is a bye.
Guidelines For Entry - Players are allowed to enter two age divisions in Southern L3 tournaments, within these guidelines:
1.) Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will
automatically be selected in the older age division. They will be
removed from the other age division.
2.) Players not selected to either division will remain on the
alternates lists for both divisions but would be obligated to play the
division they first get in from the alternates list. They will be
removed from the alternates list in the other division.
3.) Players selected to one age division will be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected.
4.) Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.
- Players from the lower age group that were selected and meet the
seeding criteria will be seeded according to the STA directions.
Alternates - The Alternates by Event report will be updated daily. Contact us immediately if you realize that you cannot participate.
It
is the Alternate's responsibility to check the website to see if your
alternate status has changed. The tournament will make every effort to
contact you if your status does change providing the correct information
is on your membership profile. Once an Alternate is selected for play,
payment is due immediately.
|
PLAYER'S RESPONSIBILITY

next match time and show up in a timely manner. Check the website often
for updated match times. PLAYERS MUST CHECK IN FOR EACH MATCH 30
MINUTES PRIOR TO ITS SCHEDULED START TIME. ALL USTA RULES WILL BE
ENFORCED FOR LATENESS. This tournament has a lot of matches to be played, and there will be no exceptions for lateness (i.e. traffic, etc.)
