All players are required to wear appropriate tennis attire. Cut off shorts, bare midriffs, compression shorts & tights (alone), or any other attire that is simply recreational and is not tennis oriented is not acceptable.

Out of town players are expected to contact the tournament director if they have travel plans that may conflict with completing the tournament. Anyone with this issue should contact the tournament director PRIOR to signing up for the tournament.

REFUND POLICY- EFFECTIVE AS OF JUNE 2017: CONSISTENT WITH THE USTA NATIONAL POLICY, PLAYERS WILL RECEIVE A REFUND IF THEY WITHDRAW ONLINE PRIOR TO THE ENTRY DEADLINE. AFTER THE DEADLINE THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS.

Withdrawal Policy If a player withdraws or defaults from any sanctioned tournament in the Southwest Section (L3-L6), after entries close, that player will be assessed 4 suspension points unless medical documentation of the injury or illness is provided to the Tournament Director AND Southwest Section Junior Player Development Manager within 48 hours after the completion of the tournament.

Penn Championship tennis balls will be used for all 14 through 18 matches. Wilson U.S. Open Green dot will be used for 12's.

Video Taping Policy in USTA PHOENIX The recent increased usage of and improvements in technology have afforded tennis players many advantages. One advantage is instant feedback via video analysis of match play. While many chose to use this tool during their personal practice, it has become a commonly used tool for recording match play during a tournament. Given the benefits and potential hazards of videotaping and social network postings, the USTA Central Arizona District has adopted the following policy and procedures to ensure the goodwill (atmosphere of fairness and good sportsmanship) and protection of the player population for junior tournament play.

This is singles only, boys and girls 12 and boys and girls 14 through 18, held at Desert Mountain High School. First match consolation. 2 out of 3 sets, match tie-breaker in place of a third set.
Players will be grouped and ordered based on UTR. The 14-18s will all be under 18s. Players will be grouped to create a more level based play. We will try to not have a difference in ratings of 2. for example, group A will have UTR's of 8-10, group 2 will have ratings of 6-7.99..
