ABOUT CASPER FERNANDEZ
Casper Fernandez was an ASC student who sadly passed away in the
summer of 2017 after a brave battle against cancer. Casper's last
wish to his father was to help other kids to train and develop a
successful career in tennis. FESV has created #WEAREALLCASPERFUND
in order to get donations and offer scholarship to young tennis
players without resources.
EMILIO SANCHEZ VICARIO FOUNDATION
The ESV Foundation is a private and non-profit institution which
was founded in 2010 with teh mission of promoting personal
development and social integration through sports and education.
Emilio Sanchez Vicario, aware of the positive values that sport in
general and tennis in particular contributes to personal
development, created this foundation to promote tennis among people
with physical, intellectual or sensory disabilities, as well as
people with limited economic resources. Always through sport, the
Foundation also contributes to the professional training and job
placement of these people, through actions such as the organization
of sports activities and the promotion of training.
PLAYERS ELIGIBILITY
The tournament is open to worldwide players with an UTR player
profile based on their age in the following criteria: U14 (born in
2003), U13 (born in 2004), U12 (born in 2005), U11 (born in 2006),
U12 born in 2007) and U9 (born in 2008). The U9 is optional for the
local organizer (type of bal and size of the court). Singles and
Doubles will be offered.
ALL PLAYERS MUST SEND TO TDAGLIS@ROMETENNISCENTER.COM A LINK TO THE
PLAYER UTR PROFILE BEFORE THE ENTRY DEADLINE. IF NOT PROVIDED, THE
TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE WILL USE THEIR BEST JUDGEMENT TO RANK A
PLAYER.
TOUR MISSION
The mission is to offer players the maximum number of competitive
matches using a fair combination of age and UTR ranking at the
tournament committee criteria. That means that players can be
located in a different age division but each age division will
their own winner no matter where a player competes.
PLAYER SELECTION & UTR
Player age and UTR ranking will be used when selecting players for
the Tournament and/or Division/Draw.
Seeding is based on player UTRs.
Players will receive a Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) credit for all
matches played.
Same age players can be divided in several groups based on their
UTR.
SCORING FORMAT
Singles: Best of 3 tiebreak sets with 10-point Match Tiebreak in
lieu of 3rd set.
Doubles: 8-game pro set with 7-point Tiebreak at 8 games all.
ROME TENNIS CENTER AT BERRY COLLEGE (RTCBC)
RTCBC is the largest single-surface tennis facility in the U.S.
with 60 lighted hardcourts. Six courts are outfitted with PlaySight
Live Cameras for live streaming matches. RTCBC was build as a
partnership with the City of Rome, GA and Berry College and is the
host of over 40 tournaments in 2018 that include: ITF Tournaments,
USTA National Tournaments, USTA Southern Tournaments, USTA Georgia
State Championships, and ITA Tournaments. RTCBC offers a
competitive junior development program named JETA (Junior Elite
Tournament Academy) and is partnered with Darlington School
(www.Darlingtonschool.org), a coeducational day and boarding school
established in 1905. Darlington School is a coeducational day and
boarding school established in 1905 with a an enrollment of
approximately 750 students grade pre-K to 12. Darlington school
community represents an average of 15 states and 20 countries
worldwide. Stretching for 500 acres, Darlington's campus is nestled
around a small lake in the foothills of the Lookout Mountain Range
in Rome, GA.
RTCBC is also partnered with the Berry College Professional Tennis
Management Program, one of only five programs currently accredited
by USTA University. The PTM program prepares graduates for a career
in the Tennis Industry utilizing real student work experience
opportunities at Rome Tennis Center at Berry College, industry
workshops and seminars, and paid internships, while developing the

Complimentary Players' Party on Saturday night and all players

Player Selection TypePlayers are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry TypeEntry to this tournament is open to USTA Members, USTA Members who have an expired membership and Non-USTA Members. Entries must be submitted by Monday, September 24, 2018 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time.
