Tournament Dates
This tournament runs from Friday through Sunday, October 26- 28 . Doubles Play could start as early as 5:00 Friday.

PLAYER'S RESPONSIBILITY
It is the PLAYER'S responsibility to know their next match time and show up in a timely manner. Check website often for updated match times. PLAYERS MUST CHECK IN FOR EACH MATCH 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO ITS SCHEDULED START TIME. ALL USTA RULES WILL BE ENFORCED FOR LATENESS.

LIMITED EVENTS
A player may enter a maximum of 2 events but not a combination of the same events (ex. 2 singles events).

SELECTION OF PLAYERS
Players will be selected based on the most recent published
NC standing list. Effective 1/2018, Level 4 (NC L4) for age groups 14U-18U (L4
12U players must have established tournament standing):
Player must have one of the following:
-Some NC/other state standing
-A verifiable player record, i.e. JTT, High School, Middle School, other
district/sectional rank
The names of players who have been selected will appear as
"Competitors" after the tournament deadline when selections are made.

Seeding
Seeding for the tournament was completed by using 2017 year end Southern rankings.

COURT SURFACE
Matches will be played on outdoor clay courts & hard courts. 10's, 16's & 18's will play on hard courts. 12's & 14's on clay courts. In the event of inclement weather, matches will move to our indoor hard courts.

FORMAT AND SCORING
All main draw matches will play best 2 out of 3 sets, with a 10 point match tiebreaker for the 3rd set and have Consolation feed in through the quarter finals with Third and fourth playoffs. Doubles matches play and 8 game pro set and are single elinmination. Draws of five or less players/teams will be a round robin format.

TOURNAMENT WITHDRAWLS
If you need to withdraw before entries close, you must do so online. Click on "Edit Registration," then "Withdraw." You will need your original confirmation number. All withdrawals after entries close must be sent BOTH in writing by email (to the Tournament Director's address above) and by phone to the tournament site. Players withdrawing after the tournament deadline/selection will not be refunded the entry fee.

DRAWS
A strong effort will be made by the committee to accommodate all schedule requests. With that said, a few requests may not be able to be met. Accommodations may not be able to be met if you are playing in 2 events All players are required to play at the times posted. If you cannot please let the tournament director know as soon as possible once the draws are posted.

PLAYER AMENITIES
All tournament players will receive a t-shirt at registration. Lunch will be provided for player's on Saturday. Tournament players will also have access to our gym for the duration of the tournament.

exit and follow signs to Crowne Plaza Tennis & Golf Resort. The
tennis facility is located down the hill on the right of the
hotel.

2. SEEDING
This tournament's seeding will be done in accordance with USTA
Regulations. They will be compiled and examined by the Head
Referee, Tournament Director, and members of the Tournament
Committee. Factors to consider in seeding (taken from "USTA
Friend at Court"): Seedings merely represent the Committee's
subjective ratings of the various players' chances of winning the
tournament. These ratings may not be based on whim, caprice, or
hunches, but instead shall be justified by a reasonable amount of
factual evidence, including, but not limited to, rankings, current
records, types of surface, and particularly head-to-head
encounters. Two outstanding doubles players playing together for
the first time should be considered for a place on the seeded list.
3. WITHDRAWALS

4. LIMITED DRAWS/EVENTS AND SELECTION PROCESS
Limited Draws/Events: Draws may be limited in some divisions. A
player may enter up to 2 divisions but not in the same category
(ex: two singles divisions) Selection Process: The top players
applying from the USTA/NC most current standings list will be
selected into the draw. The names of players who have been selected
will appear as "Competitors."
Please note: Tournament is held at ARC DOWNTOWN. Make sure you allow enough travel time to arrive 30 minutes before your match. We will post tournament weather updates as needed here on this page. When in doubt, contact the tournament director.
