Player Selection Type
The Junior divisions will start on Friday, July 14 in the morning.
The Adult divisions will start Saturday, July 15 unless a draw 8
players or more. If the draw is 8 or more play may start Friday
after 5:00pm. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT BOTH DOUBLES PARTNERS HAVE
REGISTERED....both players need to be listed first for their event,
with their partner's name following in parantheses.
All matches will be played at Kossover Tennis Center at 25th and
Gage. The Sunflower State Games is a statewide amateur sports
festival for all Kansans. The purpose of the Games is to provide
top-quality amateur competition in a wide range of activities and
promote physical fitness, personal health and well-being for
Kansans of all ages and skill levels. 2017 marks the 28th
Anniversary of this Olympic style competition. We are honored to
work with the USTA and its members in hosting this sanctioned
tournament. We look forward to seeing you at the Games! . Medals
awarded to finalists and third place finishers in each event. The
2017 Sunflower State Games is a qualifying event for the 2018 State
Games of America. Please remember that the format of this
tournament is "First Match Loser Consolation." This means that you
only go to the consolation bracket if you lose your first round. If
you win your first and lose your second, you are eliminated unless
your loss comes in the semifinals. Mixed doubles entries will be
placed in the NTRP Combined divisions so that tournament play can
reflect Kansas District League play.
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, July 09, 2017 11:59:00 PM Central Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
