The boys and girls 12s singles scoring format will be the best of 2 out of 3 sets with a 10 point match tiebreak in lieu of a 3rd set. This comes from the STA Office. If we do not use this scoring format, we will be unable to play any doubles matches.

This event is restricted to the
following Jr. players: U.S. Citizens; Permanent Resident Aliens;
Diplomats, Refugees/Asylees; CTA. Refer to USTA Regulation
ENTERING TWO (2) DIVISIONS:
Players are allowed to enter two divisions in Southern Levels 1, 1A
and 2 tournaments.
#1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will
automatically be selected in the older age division. They would be
removed from the other age division.
#2. Players not selected to either division would remain on the
alternates lists for both divisions but would be obligated to play
the division they first get in from the alternates list. They would
be removed from the Alternates list in the other division.
#3. Players selected to one age division would be removed from the
alternates list of the division they were not selected.
#4. Once a player is selected for any one division NO changes
can be made.

the matches - Saturday and Sunday, courts will be open from 6:30
am- 7:45 am, you may practice on any open court, first come first

getting into the older division. You will only be selected for one
singles event. 4 applicants will be selected for the older
division based on their younger standing, if it is in the top

divisions if you are willing to play either division

Doubles and Singles must be same Age Group. Doubles play will begin
on Saturday following the singles matches with two or three rounds
scheduled to play. (It is an 8-game pro set.). We do NOT partner
players. It is your job to find a partner, confirm the
partnership, and then register by the doubles deadline. AND,
BOTH PLAYERS MUST REGISTER!!!! AGAIN, both players must
register...There is a separate doubles site.
Order for Doubles Selection
Players registered or not registered for the singles tournament can
register for doubles. But please note that the selection for
doubles is in the following order:
1. Teams with both players entered in the singles.
2. Teams with one player entered in singles and one
3. Teams with one player entered in singles and one player not
registered for singles.
4. Teams with both players not registered for singles.
USTA SOUTHERN SEEDING CRITERIA
In an effort to provide greater transparency and understanding of
how USTA Southern seeds will be determined for USTA Southern L 1,
1A and 2 events, FAC (Friend at Court) method II.A.4.b., which
provides for a computerized system of rankings or standings. The
Junior Competition Committee approved the below chart that the
Tournament Seeding Committees, with assistance from the USTA
Southern staff, shall utilize to determine seeds.

Are tournaments weighted? The point levels per round are the
"weighting" of a tournament.
Due to Alternate notification and Draw Changes, it is imperative
for you to add contact information during the online registration
process when asked. So a player does not lose out, please help us

For the late entries we will receive, they will be placed at the
bottom of the alternates list. If the seeding has been completed
and a late entry is the next to get in, we will determine if
they will affect the seeding before we can accept you into the

"On Site" Alternates must register at their age group's tournament
site. You can inform the Tournament Referee on Friday night or
before that you plan to be an On-Site Alternate. Please make sure
we have accurate contact information for you to be reached during
the weekend. On-Site Alternates will be selected in the order of
the Alternates List. On Site Alternates should be on-site when
their age and gender check in for play 30 minutes prior to the
first match in the first round.
Withdrawal Prior to Entry Deadline:
Go to the Tournament website and click "Withdraw" in the "EDIT
REGISTRATION" box on the right side of your screen. From there you
can withdraw. If you do not know your Confirmation #, then click
"Locate Confirmation" just below "Withdraw". We cannot withdraw
you, you must do this yourself. You will lose the processing fee if
you do not withdraw online before registration closes.
Withdraw After Entry Deadline:
Email the tournament director immediately to withdraw from the
tournament. You must EMAIL your withdrawal to
email@example.com . DO NOT CALL TO WITHDRAW. There are NO
refunds if withdrawing after November 4, 2016. NO Exceptions.
Defaulting during the tournament:
You must see the Head Referee. The desk cannot officially default
you. Unless you speak with the Head Referee, it will count as a "NO

will not be charged.

In matches without an official on court, players are
expected to follow "THE CODE" if you have not read it, please do

One trainer will be on site at the City Park / Pepsi Tennis Center
during matches. By law, trainers are not allowed to distribute any
medicine. Please bring your own Tylenol, Advil, Sinus Medication,
Epi Pens, etc. If you have an injury or illness, we strongly
suggest you see the trainer. If you need to withdraw due to injury
or illness, the process will be much smoother if we have
confirmation from the trainer. Without confirmation, or a written
doctor's excuse by the end of the tournament, you may incur
suspension points for leaving. Remember if you withdraw during the
tournament, you must see the Head Referee in PERSON, or it will
count as a "NO SHOW".
There will be two experienced stringers at City Park / Pepsi Tennis
Center throughout the tournament.
Cost of stringing with your own string is $15.00.
We also have a large inventory of string, prices range from $35.00
Lunch will be provided for players on Saturday and Sunday at City
