**We are selling Nancy's Italian Ice at Lagoon and O'connor.
**Sunday we will start play at 8:30AM to give the kids a little extra recovery time. I know it's not much, but it is all I can offer.
**Doubles semi finals will play Sunday after singles.

Trinity school will NOT be open for practice on Sunday. Please do not go there. Ida Bell Young Park(IDBY) will be.

****Friday practice courts will be available at Lagoon and O'connor Tennis Centers from 8AM-4:30 PM. Alabama State University (ASU) and AUM (AUM) will be open for practice on Friday from 3-4:30 PM.
****All Saturday sites will be available for warm up by 6:45 AM, except Montgomery Academy(MA), they will be open at 8AM.
****Due to the size of this tournament practice courts will be limited. Trinity Presbyterian School -1700 E Trinity Blvd, Montgomery, AL 36106- will have 6 courts open for warm ups from 8AM -5PM*****SATURDAY ONLY******. Please warm up 4 to a court and keep your warm up to 45 minutes maximum if others are waiting.

No electronic devises are to be used on the courts, including Apple watches.

On the first match time report you will find abbreviations for your site. On the site locations you will find the address and the name of the site next to the abbreviation. For example MA on the sites stands for Montgomery Academy.

CHECK IN WILL BE 30 MINUTES OR EARLIER PRIOR TO MATCH TIME AT YOUR SCHEDULED SITE.

Friday- 2 rounds of doubles STARTING AT 5PM
Saturday- 2 rounds of singles, 1 round of consolation, some doubles
Sunday- 2 rounds of main draw, 3 rounds of consolation , some doubles
Monday- Semis and Finals of the main draw(and 3rd place match), 4 losing quarterfinalists play out for 5th place, FINISH THE FEED IN CONSOLATION FROM THE ROUNDS OF 64,32, AND 16, finish doubles

This ICY HOT Southern Designated will now host the Boy's and Girl's 12-18's singles and doubles In Montgomery. Originally, the 12-14's would have played in Auburn. But, due to some extremely large concerts, hotel rooms have become an issue in Auburn. So as a result the entire event will be played in Montgomery to make it more accommodating for you. The Auburn Director and his referee's have agreed to come to Montgomery and join our staff in hosting this ICY HOT. We look forward to a fantastic event and appreciate all of your support and understanding.

Please note that the feed in consolation bracket through the round of 16 will play through Monday.

This tournament will have doubles. There will be 32 team, single elimination draws. The scoring format will be 8 game pro sets. The link to doubles is here. more info

All of the singles divisions will be 64 draws. The scoring in the main draw will be best 2 out of 3 sets for the 14s, 16s, and 18s. The 12s main draw and consolation matches in all age divisions will play 2 tie brake sets with a match tiebraker ( 10 point) for the third set. The consolation will play THROUGH MONDAY. The losing main draw quarterfinalists will play it out Sunday to determine 5th and 6th place. There will be a 3rd place playoff in singles and doubles.
******DOUBLES will be a 32 single elimination draw. The scoring format for doubles is an 8 game pro set with a tie brake at 8 all.

Players may enter 2 divisions with these guidelines:
1.Players selected to both age divisions will be automatically selected to the older division and removed from the younger.
2. Players not selected to either division may remain on the alternate list for both and are obligated to play in the first division they are selected for. They are removed from the other division's alternate list.
3.Players selected to one age division will be removed from the alternate list of the other.
4.Once a player is selected to a division NO changes can be made.

Selections are made from the top 56(appropriate Southern Standing List) entered in that age group. 8 players from the next younger age group who are not already selected who are top 80 in the younger Standings will also be selected.

Doubles registration begins March 11 and ends March 14. The tournament registration ID is 703205414.
Doubles play will begin Friday afternoon/ evening with 2 rounds. We will play 8 game pro sets, tiebraker at 8 all.
We will not partner players and cannot give out personal information. You must play doubles in the division you are playing singles. It is your responsibility to find a partner, register on time, and make sure BOTH players have registered with their partner.

The USTA requires a medical release SIGNED BY THE PARENT OR GUARDIAN for every player. This form must be presented at the time of registration. USTA SOUTHERN SINGLES SEEDING CRITERIA: Seeding shall be done using the selection list which is based on the standing list immediately after the entry deadline of this tournament.

Players who have a standing in the next younger age division MAY be seeded in any group of seeds as determined by the Southern Seeding Calculator.

Withdrawal Prior to Entry Deadline:
Go to the Tournament website, under "EDIT REGISTRATION" on the right side of your screen, then "Withdraw". From there you can withdraw. If you do not know your Confirmation #, then click "Locate Confirmation" just below "Withdraw." We cannot withdraw you, you must do this yourself. You will lose the processing fee if you do not withdraw online before registration closes.
Withdrawal After Entry Deadline:
You must email the tournament Director at lagoonparktennis@gmail.com who will forward your email to the referee. Please do not call to withdraw. The last day to be refunded is April 15th, 2016. Only legitimate illnesses, injuries or personal emergencies are cause for a refund.

There have also been questions of late in regards to the endorsement requirements for Zonals. They are as follows:
- 16 Zonals: Any player who has played in either the Southern Winter Level 1 or the Southern Closed 16s and whose Southern standing is within the endorsed group. Top 36 Boys and top 36 Girls who apply will gain entry.
- 14 Zonals: Any player who has played in either the Southern Winter Level 1 or the Southern Closed 14s and whose Southern standing is within the endorsed group. Top 36 Boys and top 36 Girls who apply will gain entry.
- 12 Zonals: Any player who has played in either the Southern Winter Level 1 or the Southern Closed 12s and whose Southern standing is within the endorsed group. Top 30 Boys and top 30 Girls who apply will gain entry
