COOLER WEEKEND TEMPERATURES
As I am sure you have all heard, weekend temperatures are expected to drop over the next two days. Temperatures tomorrow morning at 9:30am (when most first round matches are scheduled to start) are expected to be be in the mid to high 40s which, while on the cool side, should be fine for playing tennis and will continue to warm to the the mid to high 50s by mid-day. Tomorrow's matches will continue on schedule with no changes to start times.
With temperatures falling in to the 30s on Sunday morning, I just wanted to give everyone advanced notice that there is a very good chance that we will need to push Sunday matches back an hour or two in order to allow temperatures to warm at least into the 40s. I will continue to monitor the Sunday morning weather forecast tomorrow (as I am sure you will too) and will make a decision by early tomorrow afternoon on whether or not to push back Sunday match start times.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR SATURDAY PARKING
Westtown School is hosting a College Fair and is expecting 600 plus families on campus this Saturday starting at 8am. Because of this event, parking is going to be difficult.
I have been asked by the school to ask you to park in the Grass Lot on Oak Lane. Clicking on "more info" at the bottom of this mesaage will display the map of the campus. Looking at the map, the Oak Lane Grass Lot is directly at the 90 degree bend of Westtown Rd. where Oak Lane connects (the map shows a blue arrow and "South Entrance"). You will see a small gravel/dirt turn off of Oak Lane on to a grass field where you will park. To get to the tennis courts, cross over Oak Lane and follow the sidewalk up to the tennis courts (the sidewalk runs parallel to Westtown Rd.).
For Saturday only, please do not park in the Admissions parking lot (on the map this is shown with a blue P below the brown letter A) as this has been reserved for the College Fair event.
Please be sure to give yourself extra time to find the Oak Lane Grass Lot and walk up to the tennis courts (about a 5 minute walk).
