AACTA Annapolis "Invitational" Spring Kick Off Tournament

As of 7:30am on 4/22, it is drizzling with heavy rain all day in the forecast. Due to the fact that some people are traveling a long distance to the tournament, we feel the best thing to due is to cancel the tournament for today. I will start working on sending out your opponent's information to you so you can arrange your match. This includes the consolation rounds. Many people have already started making arrangements for indoor courts today. There is no expectation to arrange for indoor courts that you have to pay for. You will have the entire week to make arrangements for a mutually agreeable time and place and play the match. I need all results no later than the Sunday, April 29th by 5pm. Please send me the time and place once agreed upon and be sure to send me the scores as soon as you complete the match. I appreciate everyone being flexible with the situation. We are heading into the final weekend of the tournament. The tennis has been excellent thus far and it will only get better as we move in the quarter, semi, and finals. Draws have been updated and now include the consolation matches. Be sure to check things carefully as ther have been some adjustments made.

For the weekend matches Main darws will be held at Truxton Park Truxton Park - 70 Primrose Road, Annapolis, Md 21403 Conolation matches will be held at Annapolis High School Annapolis High School - 2700 Riva Road, Annapolis, Md 21401

Tournament updates have been sent out daily. If you are not received them, either you did not give your email when you registered online or I am having a problem with your email address. If youy are not receiving the updates please email me at Shari@accta.com and give me your preferred email address.

Please remember that you "MUST" be an AACTA member to participate in the tournament. You can sign-up for AACTA by going to the AACTA website (www.aacta.com) and clicking the "Join" tab. Othewise you may bring a check made out to "AACTA" for $20.

Remember if you are a member of a USTA team let the tournament desk know when you check in. The team with the most points at the end of the tournament will win a free 2 hour clinic with a local tennis pro. Points will be awarded as follow: 1 point per event entered 1 point per match played 1 point per match won

This tournament will award points for the purpose of rankings equal to a State or District Championship. Winner will recive 200 points. more info
