Quickstart tournament information
We have 4 quickstart courts at the Rome-Floyd Tennis Center. All quickstart matches will be played there. All quickstart participants need to check-in at the Rome-Floyd Tennis Center by 8:45am. The boys will begin play at 9am and the girls will immediately follow. We have split both boys and girls into 2 round robin groups. The winner of each group will play after the round robin play is completed for the championship.
See everyone saturday morning.

Seeding Error in Doubles
An error was made in the Doubles Seeding. The error was corrected according to USTA Regulation II.C.4, page 96 of the 2010 FAC.
Please check your match times to see if this affected your first match time on Friday.

Selected Singles Who Need Doubles Partner
Selected Singles Players without a doubles partner will have until Sunday night at 9 pm to confirm pairing with another selected singles player in need of a doubles partner. You should email Mark Dodd to declare your partner. Both players in a pair should email for the pairing to be confirmed.

FACEBOOK
A facebook group has been set up to assist players in finding a doubles partner. The group name is GA STATE JR SPRING CHAMPIONSHIPS. When using facebook, please do NOT post your phone # or other contact info on the main page. When you do, anyone that looks at that page can see your info. If I see a phone number or email address posted on the page, I will remove it. We are doing this for your safety. If you have any questions about this, please email or call me.

ACT Accommodation
We will attempt to accommodate BG18 who are taking the ACT on Saturday, April 10. BG18 matches will not start before 2 pm on Saturday. We will only be able to work around the test if you are taking the test in Rome. The test is being offered at 2 locations in Rome on that date - Rome HS and Darlington School. It is possible to change your test site if you are scheduled other than Rome.

The following is the tentative tournament schedule, subject to change should weather interfere with play. The tournament is sanctioned through Monday.
Friday: Doubles 2 Rounds: Tentative start time is 4 pm
Saturday: Singles 2 rounds main draw, 1 round consolation, 1 round of Doubles
Sunday: Singles 2 round Main draw, 3 rounds Consolation, 2 rounds of Doubles(AM and
Monday: Singles SF and F, 3 rounds of Consolation, Finals of Doubles

Selection Process
Top 64 players applying from the USTA/Southern latest STANDINGS LIST. 56 players from this age group and up to 8 players from the younger age group who are eligible from the younger age group, who have a standing in the top 80 of the younger age group, and are not in the selected 56, will be selected. The names of the players who have been selected will appear as COMPETITORS. Alternates are listed in the REPORT SECTION. The Report Section Alternate by Event will be updated as players are added to the main draw or withdraws from the alternates list.

SEEDING
Seeding will bedetermined using the Southern Seeding Calculator which is also used for the USTA Southern Bullfrog tournaments. It uses the most recent Southern standing (April 1, 2010) and gives consideration to the lower age division players.

WITHDRAWALS
Prior to the entry deadline, players should withdraw online. After the entry deadline, all withdrawals must be in writing by e-mail or fax. Players should note all rules on withdrawing from a tournament. NO REFUNDS for players withdrawing after midnight,Saturday, April 3. Alternates wishing to enter another tournament should withdraw from the Alternates list before entering another tournament. Alternates are not charged the entry fee until they are moved into the main draw.

ALTERNATES
If you are not selected for the main draw, your name will automatically be placed on the Alternates List. This list will be ordered by the current Southern Standings List. If you do not want to be considered for entry into the main draw, you should email the referee to withdraw your name. You MUST WITHDRAW from the alternate list before entering another tournament. If a position becomes available in the main draw, the alternate must contact the Tournament Director with Credit Card info. Tennis Link does not charge Credit Cards of alternates. Alternates are responsible for being sure the referee and tournament director have contact information. You will be skipped if we have no way to contact you.

AVOIDANCES
Please be aware that we will do our best to avoid players playing each other by state, city, or doubles partners. We do not avoid players from the same academy.

First match time will be posted by noon, Wednesday, April 7.

CHECK-IN FOR THE TOURNAMENT
Everyone will need to check in at the Rome-Floyd Tennis Center before you play your first match, regardless of your match location. Check in for the tournament will begin at 2:30 pm Friday 4/9 The Check in desk will open again Saturday morning 4/10 at 7am. Please be sure to give yourself enough time to check in and still drive to your match location. Checking in for the tourmament cannot be used as an excuse for being late for your first match.

The tournament will be using the following sites: Alto - ALTO, Darlington - DAR, Etowah - ETW, Georgia Highland College - GAH, Pepperell High School - PHS, Rome Floyd Tennis Center - RFTC, Shorter College - SHR.
Please be sure to read the draws CAREFULLY for your match locations. It is possible that you will be playing at different sites for all your matches.

GEORGIA LEVEL 2 TOURNAMENT AND SOUTHERN LEVEL 3 TOURNAMENT. SIGN
UP FOR DOUBLES ONLINE - Doubles play will start the first day of
the tournament. CONSOLATION - Full FIC Singles & 3/4 Playoffs.
JR. SUSPENSION POINT SYSTEM IN EFFECT. T-shirts. Scoring format -
Singles: Main draw - Regular scoring (2 out of 3 sets), Consolation
- 2 out of 3 sets with 3rd set match tie-break, Doubles: 8-game
pro-sets with a match tie-break at 8-all. In the past we have had a
strong field with participants from 4 or 5 states. Online
registration ONLY at www.ustageorgia.com. STATE CHAMPIONSHIP - This
is a State Championship tournament.
QUICKSTART - IN ADDITION TO THE REGULAR BOYS/GIRLS 10S EVENT,
THIS TOURNAMENT ALSO OFFERS THE 60'QUICKSTART FORMAT FOR 10 &
UNDER. QuickStart players CANNOT play in the regular State
Championship divisions. QuickStart Events are open ONLY to age
eligible players with no previous year-end Championship ranking in

. Results in the 60' QuickStart for 10 & Under tournaments will
not be included in USTA GA Standings or end-of-year Championship or
Satellite rankings. 60' QuickStart Format 10 & Under players

numerically on www.ustageorgia.com at the end of the ranking year
(Jan. - Dec.). Only results played in this format will count for
this list.
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Friday, April 02, 2010 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
