WWTA Cinco de Mayo Futures

Thank you so much for participating in our first futures tournament. Because of your participation, we look forward to making this tournament a yearly event.

All of the Annie Jones matches have been moved to the Cary Tennis Park...Please report there for your matches.

We have good weather this morning and play is going well. The doubles are scheduled to start around 1200 but if teams arrive early then we can problably start some of those matches earlier. Singles are going well and on track to finish the majority of them around noon. Results are uploaded to the draws.

The girls draws have been updated with new times for Sunday. Please read the previous message regarding how matches will progress and special instructions for Sunday's format. Again thank you for your patience and our goal is to provide as much court time as possible.

The draws for the Boys' divisions have been updated and we will have the Girls' divisions updated very soon. Our goal is to get every match played to maximize time on the court for each player. If you are starting a new match on Sunday there will be No-Add scoring and the tournament desk can explain that to you when they put you on court. If you are continuing a match that was started on Saturday afternoon then finish the match as you were playing before the rain delay with Add scoring. Times for the Semifinals and Finals are approximate on the completion of previous matches. Players will get up to 1hr rest between matches. The priority will be to finish the singles draws first and the doubles will follow. If there is no rain, then doubles could start in the afternoon. We appreciate your understanding and our having to work around the elements.

The draws have been updated for the main draw matches in singles and doubles. The consolation draws will be updated on Saturday. Please continue to monitor the website. In the morning if there is a weather delay the website will be updated.

Due to the weather situation the matches scheduled for Friday evening have been cancelled. We are working on updating the draws on the website with new start times...Please check there in the hour or so...Thank you for your understanding.

Be advised that matches will be played as scheduled and cancellation of tonights match will not be made until play is deemed not possible. We will continue to evaluate the situation and update the website.

I appreciate your patience. The draws have been updated with schedules to at least the quarter finals and some even further. The consolation draws have some information but the times will be dependent on main draw matches. I look forward to an exciting tournament.

I just wanted to clarify...CTP stands for Cary Tennis Park and AJ iis Annie Jones Park, which is going to be our alternate site. The website has directions to Annie Jones from the CTP.

The draw has been uploaded to the website. I apologize for any delay. Everyone should have there first match time posted on the draw. I will continue to update timing for the remainder of the matches and will upload on a regular basis during the weekend. After a match is completed the player will be told the time for their next match. Thank you.
