CONDITIONS OF PLAY:
Player Selection Type
Singles and doubles matches are to be scheduled on all days of the
tournament (Sept 23 - 25).
The tournament will offer both singles and doubles for the
following age groups: Boys and Girls 14's & 16's.
- Players cannot play in multiple age groups. Players may only
register in a one age group for singles and in doubles.
- Play will be no more than a 32
standard draw with a quarterfinal feed in consolation.
- All main draw singles matches will be best of 3 short sets with a
match tiebreak to be used for the third set.
- All Consolation matches will be best 2 out of 3 short sets with
10 pt tiebreak in lieu of 3rd set.
- Doubles matches be a pro-set with a 7 pt. tie-break at 8/8.
- There will be no Mixed Doubles in this tournament.
Boys 14's & 16's and Girls 14's are
played on outdoor hard courts. Girls 16's are played on outside
The Tournament will be using three sites for play and multiple
surfaces. The sites are The Racquet Club of Memphis (RC, RCC),
Memphis University School (MUS), Germantown Municipal Center
ELECTRONIC DEVICES PROHIBITED ON COURT:
Players may not
use electronic devises on court that are designed for communication
(I-watch, cell phones, pda's, etc.) or data storage/display (pocket
notebook, rolodex, word processor, etc.). Use of these devices will
result in immediate code violation for unsportsmanlike conduct. (A
device that is in the "ON" mode constitutes use.) Notes and printed
material brought on court for reference with a player are

In matches without an official on court,
players are expected to follow The Code. If you've never read it,
please do so.

RULES AND REGULATIONS:
This is a USTA sanctioned event and as such will follow the USTA
Handbook FRIEND AT COURT 2017.
Tournament reserves the right to move any age group or surface
to indoor hard courts due to weather or lighting issues.
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is restricted. To see how entrants will be selected, follow the “Selection Process” link to the left. It is the player’s responsibility to check the selection list(s) after registering online to be sure that a check mark appears beside the player’s name on the list, in order to insure proper registration. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, August 31, 2017 11:59:00 AM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
