Match Start times!! To improve consistency and help ensure fairness to all players, Referees and Officials will be strictly enforcing lateness rules this year. The Lateness Penalty begins when the match is scheduled and called, and any court is available. This means there will be no grace period on first match times. Players should arrive 30 minutes early for every match and once checked in be ready to play. If a player checks in and is not ready when called, point penalties may apply as well. Point Penalty System Check in will be at your first match location!

Warm Up Courts and Rest Periods!
Lake Highlands High School 9449 Church Rd Dallas 75238.... Keep in mind that these are only recommendations and not guaranteed courts and are open to the public.
New Singles "B" Draw Regulations The singles A draw will be a draw of 64 based on rank. The singles B draws will be waved (even) draws of 32. There are no longer C draws for singles. All winners of the B main draws will be placed in the A draw the following month. Rationale: B draw players will finish draws by Sunday and not require Monday play. More opportunities for B draw players to become eligible for the A draw the following month. NEW Jr. Rest Period Regulation Effective 1/1/11, there is a new Jr. Competition regulation that grants a mandatory 3 minute rest period between the end of the 2nd set, and a 10 pt match tiebreak in Consolation Draws. Coaching is allowed during those 3 min just like it is in the 10 min break between the end of the 2nd set and the start of a third set for Main Draw. This is in place for all age divisions (jr). NEW AUTHORIZED REST PERIOD FOR CONSOLATION DRAWS For those players inserted into a CONSOLATION DRAW please NOTE: There is a NEW 3-minute authorized rest period between the end of your 2nd set, and a 10-point deciding match tie-break, if one is needed. COACHING is ALLOWED during this 3-minute authorized rest period. NOTE: Players MUST be back on court, ready to put a ball in play at 3-minutes from the time the last ball was struck to end the 2nd set. The rules of tennis instruct officials to time (stopwatch) and penalize players returning late from an authorized rest period. PARENTS AND COACHES...Please make sure your players are on court in a timely fashion. We want the players to take full advantage of the coaching opportunities, while playing within the rules of the 2013 Friend at Court. Officials are instructed to use this lateness penalty when needed.
