THIS IS AN INDOOR TOURNAMENT. AC IS CRANKED AND LIKE A MEAT
LOCKER. AVOID THE SUN! WEAR A SWEATER. Train outside during the day
at your tennis camp and then test out your newly-learned skills
during match play!
General Tournament Information:
Schedule of play/match times assigned: Monday: 3-9pm, Tuesday
3-9pm, Wednesday 3-9pm, Thursday 3-9pm (however, if draw sizes are
bigger than expected, then play on Wed/Thur will begin earlier). In
some events, the tournament may be done by Tue/Wed. The park
district boasts 5 indoor courts. Every participant will get a
tournament t-shirt.

Tournament officiating:
USTA rules will be enforced.
Scoring:
2 out of 3 sets with a super tiebreak for the 3rd set. First match
losers consolation (FMLC): we are offering one extra random match
with plans on removing the byes where possible, playing out the
backdraw to completion.
Schedule of play:
Adult categories will start Mon/Tue/Wed/Thur at 6pm (or later). The
adult categories include NTRP events. Junior categories will start
at 3pm (or later). Let us know before the deadline if there is a
possible scheduling conflict and we will do our best to accommodate
if at all possible. The tournament reserves the right to schedule
play earlier than 3pm if the tournament is bigger than
expected.
Draw size:
We plan on limiting each age group to 16 participants.
Selection Process:
We manually select & process all applicants at the deadline
time thru the USTA/TDM software.
First match times:
We plan on posting the draws a couple of hours past the
deadline.
Refunds:
Park district does not allow refunds after the deadline.
Awards:
Each age category will earn 1st and 2nd place awards. Music, Jack
in the box, and free candy for all...

Withdraws/Midwest Suspension Point System:
If you need to withdraw while registration is still open, please go
to our homepage and in the left margin click on "Edit Registration"
and proceed to withdraw. No reason is necessary while the
registration is still open. If registration has closed and
tournament has not begun yet, please email the tournament director
and list the reason for withdraw. If tournament has begun, please
call the tournament director. when withdrawing from a USTA event
once the selections have been made, the only reasons that are
accepted by the USTA Referee without incurring FIVE (5) suspension
points are injury, illness or family emergency. Having a soccer
game, a family dinner, or not feeling like playing the consolation
are not accepted reasons.
Signing Up for Two Events/Midwest Suspension Point System:
USTA/Midwest Section Suspension Point System The USTA Code of
Conduct and Suspension Point System is in effect. You are expected
to play the entire event as scheduled. The USTA/Midwest Section
Junior Competition Committee has adopted a new Suspension Point
System. All players will be given FIVE (5) suspension points for
entering two or more tournaments that take place at the same time,
in whole or in part, unless each Tournament Committee involved
agrees with the multiple entries in writing. This applies to all
players who signed up for the tournament including
alternates.
USTA Contact Information:
Procedure for tournament registration: because of Privacy Laws,
your contact information from USTA membership doesn't show up in
the Tournament Directors' software anymore. Only what you indicate
during the registration process shows up. We have no way of
contacting you if you leave these areas blank. For instance, your
opponent is sick. You may make an extra trip here and not need to.
You must indicate all phone numbers, home, cell (a must!), work and
your email address on each registration, EACH and EVERY time, for
each and every tournament you register for.

The committee pulls the seeds from the most currrent USTA Midwest
Rankings.
Player Selection TypePlayers are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry TypeEntry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Friday, July 13, 2012 8:00:00 PM Central Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
