ITA BG 14's Summer Sizzler

Both the boys and girls draws have been changed. Please review these new draws for your match times! If you are scheduled at TRAILSIDE..you MUST check-in at the PC MARC BEFORE you head there to play. You can either check in Thursday between 4 and 6 or anytime before your match on Friday.

We will have at least 2 courts set aside all day Thursday for players to practice at no charge. These courts are walk-on only and not reservable. We will have maps available at PC Tennis for other outdoor tennis courts nearby. We are very full on Thursday with a girls High School Tennis event and therefore cannot allow players to reserve a practice court outdoors. We do have indoor courts that can be reserved if you would like at $24/hr. I believe that we have enough outdoor courts so that everyone will have plenty of opportunity to practice free!

We will be using an extra site on Friday and Saturday for matches. Please check-in to the PC MARC FIRST before you head to the alternate sites. We will have maps available to guide you to the alternate sites.

If no site is listed on the draw, then the match will be at the home base - the PC MARC. If your match says "TRAIL" - then you will be at Trailside Park. If your match says "CTYPK" - then you will play at City Park. Please check in at the PC MARC BEFORE heading to the alternate site.

Please feel free to let me know if you would like to join the doubles draw. I will keep this draw open until noon on the first day of play so that players can find partners. I am happy to enter you without a partner and help you look for someone also. Just shoot me an email if you did not originally register for doubles but would like to enter now. Thanks, Laurie

From the Salt Lake Airport, follow directions toward I-80 EAST. Sometimes it will say toward "Cheyenne". You will merge with I-15 for a few miles, but just keep following the I-80 East signs. You will cut across Salt Lake and begin climbing a canyon (Parley's Canyon) for about 20 minutes. After you pass the Jeremy Ranch exit, you will want the next exit - Kimball Junction/Park City. At the end of the exit ramp, turn right and you are now on Hiway 224 - the main road into town. Follow this for approximately 5 miles. You will see a large a white barn on your RIGHT. After the barn, you will want the 2nd stop light. Turn left here onto Holiday Ranch Loop Drive. (The Peaks Hotel is on this corner). Follow Holiday Ranch Loop for approximately 1/4 mile to a stop sign. Turn right at the stop sign onto Little Kate Road. The center is up a few hundred yards on your left. Welcome! The weekend of August 4-6 is SUPER busy in Park City - so book your hotel room soon! Please go to the Park City Chamber of Commerce website for hotels in the area.

Since this tournament is a Compass Draw for singles, all players will be guaranteed 4 matches. Compass draws work best when we have an exact 16 or 32 players. If we have an "odd" number of players, the tournament director will adjust the draws in order to guarantee everyone 4 matches.

The First Match Losers Consolation draw format guarantees every player at least 2 matches. If you win, then lose...you are done. If you lose your first match, you will go into the consolation draw and can keep playing until you lose again. Please be aware that entrants in both singles and doubles could be playing 3 matches per day. Doubles will be an 8 game pro-set.

There are water coolers on the court, but no cups. Please bring your own water bottle. Thanks.

Please make sure the usta has your correct phone and e-mail information. I communicate much information via e-mails before and during the tournament and you won't get the updates if you haven't given the usta the info!

There will NOT be a mandatory Thursday evening check-in. The tournament desk will be open from 4:00 - 6:00 Thursday evening if you would like to check-in at that point. Otherwise, you are free to check-in anytime on Friday...at least 30 minutes before your match!
