DIRECTIONS TO SPENCER LOVE (SLTC on draw):
From Raleigh:
1.) I-40 W.
2.) Follow I-40W/Bus. I-85S (keep right).
3.) Take Route 70 almost immediately (ramp off right). Drive 2.6 miles.
4.) Take Route 70 to Greensboro. Drive 6.2 miles.
5.) Right on Battleground Ave (220N).
6.) Right on Pisgah Church.
7.) Take immediate left onto Forest Lawn Dr (into Jaycee Park). Courts are straight ahead.
From Charlotte:
1.) I-85 N.
2.) When you are near Greensboro, follow signs to Greensboro (keep right).
3.) Exit 120 (Business I-85N).
4.) Take Holden Rd exit 34 (old 121) ramp off right.
5.) Loop onto Holden Rd.
6.) Drive 8 miles, then turn left on Benjamin Pkwy.
7.) First light, turn left on Battleground Ave.
8.) Right on Pisgah Church.
9.) Take immediate left onto Forest Lawn Dr (into Jaycee Park). Courts are straight ahead.
From Winston-Salem:
1.) I-40 E.
2.) Take exit 212B (I-73 N) toward Bryan Blvd.
3.) Keep right at fork (follow signs for Bryan Blvd/Downtown).
4.) Take Westridge Rd exit, and loop right on Westridge Rd.
5.) Right on Battleground Ave.
6.) Left on Pisgah Church.
7.) Take immediate left onto Forest Lawn Dr (into Jaycee Park). Courts are straight ahead. >13 clay courts
DIRECTIONS TO GREENSBORO DAY SCHOOL (GDS on draw)
From Spencer Love (5 minutes):
1.) Left out of park onto Pisgah Church Rd.
2.) Left at 1st stoplight onto Martinsville Rd.
3.) Left at 1st stoplight onto Lawndale Dr.
4.) After Regents Park Lane, left turn into Greensboro Day School parking lot.
5.) Courts are on other side of gym.
DIRECTIONS TO BARBER PARK INDOOR (BPInd on draw)
From Raleigh:
1.) I-40W:
2.) Take Bus. I-85 (keep right).
3.) Take E. Lee Street exit. Ramp off right.
4.) Right turn onto E. Lee Street.
5.) Left turn onto Florida Street at first stoplight.
6.) ½ mile Left turn into park.
7.) Courts are straight ahead.
From Charlotte:
1.) I-85N to exit 120 (sign says "to Business I-85N to I-40W").
2.) Follow Bus. I-85 N.
3.) Follow to E. Lee Street exit. Ramp off right.
4.) Left turn onto E. Lee Street.
5.) Left turn onto Florida Street at first stoplight.
6.) ½ mile Left turn into park.
7.) Courts are straight ahead.
From Winston-Salem:
1.) Take I-40 E through Greensboro.
2.) Follow to E. Lee Street exit. Ramp off right.
3.) Left turn onto E. Lee Street.
4.) Left turn onto Florida Street at first stoplight.

From Spencer Love (25 minutes):
1.) Left turn onto Pisgah Church Rd.
2.) Right turn at 2nd stoplight onto Lawndale Dr.
3.) Lawndale becomes Battleground Ave.
4.) Follow signs for Murrow Blvd.
5.) At end of Murrow, left turn onto E. Lee St.
6.) Right turn onto E. Florida St.
7.) ½ mile Left turn into park.
8.) Courts are straight ahead.

From Raleigh:
1.) I-40W. 2.) Take Bus. I-85 (keep right). 3.) Take E. Lee Street exit. Ramp off right. 4.) Right turn onto E. Lee Street. 5.) Right turn onto Aycock St. (at Wendy's). 6.) Left turn onto Campus Dr. 7.) Courts ahead on left. Parking on right.
From Charlotte:
1.) I-85 N. 2.) When you are near Greensboro, follow signs to Greensboro (keep right). 3.) Exit 120 (Business I-85N). 4.) Follow signs and get on I-40 WEST. 5.) Exit and turn right onto High Point Rd. 6.) Left turn onto Aycock St. (at Wendy's). 7.) Left turn onto Campus Dr. 8.) Courts ahead on left. Parking on right.
From Winston-Salem:
1.) I-40 E. 2.) Exit and Left turn onto High Point Rd. 3.) Left turn onto Aycock St. (at Wendy's). 4.) Left turn onto Campus Dr. 5.) Courts ahead on left. Parking on right.
From Barber Park:

LIMITED DRAWS AND SELECTION PROCESS
LIMITED DRAWS:
All divisions are limited to 32 players each.
SELECTION PROCESS:
Because this is a Southern Level 3 event, the following Selection Process is being used:
Top 32 players applying from the latest USTA Southern Standings list.
Boys and Girls 12s-18s divisions: 28 players from this age group will be selected and up to 4 players from the younger age group who are eligible from the younger age group, who have a standing in the top 40 of the younger age group, and are not in the selected 28, will be selected.
(The names of the players who have been selected will appear as competitors. Alternates are listed in the report section.)

WATERFALL SYSTEM FOR SPLITTING COMPETITORS
The players will be ordered using the most current Southern standings (rel. March 5), with players from the younger age group that met the seeding requirements included in the player list.
The 32 players will be split as follows:
GREEN DRAW: 1,4,5,8,9,12,13,16,17,20,21,24,25,28,29,32
WHITE DRAW: 2,3,6,7,10,11,14,15,18,19,22,23,26,27,30,31
Seeding will be made after the players have been split.
Players from the lower age group that were selected and meet the seeding criteria will be seeded according to the STA directions.

INDEPENDENT DRAWS
There will be an Independent Consolation Draw for players who lose in the First Round of the Consolation, and they will play one more round unless there is a bye.

GUIDELINES FOR ENTRY
Selection Process:
Players are allowed to enter two age divisions in Southern L3 tournaments, within these guidelines:
#1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected in the older age division. They will be removed from the other age division.
#2. Players not selected to either division will remain on the alternates lists for both divisions but would be obligated to play the division they first get in from the alternates list. They will be removed from the Alternates list in the other division.
#3. Players selected to one age division will be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected.
#4. Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.

3-MINUTE REST PERIOD
>The 3-minute rest period is taken with a match tie break in lieu of the third set format.
>The 3-minute rest period begins at the end of the second set and should be timed by the official. Players must remain on court or in an area adjacent to the court where coaching is permitted.
>A toilet break/change of attire may be taken at the conclusion of the 3-minute rest period.
>A player choosing to take a toilet/change of attire break during the 3-minute rest period waives the right to further coaching.
>A player who is not ready to play or returns late after a 3-minute rest break will receive a time violation.
>Should an additional 20 seconds pass without the player being ready, a code violation for delay of game will be issued.

FORMAT AND SCORING
The format is Full Feed-In Consolation (through Quarterfinals):
>12s - 18s divisions: All Main Draw AND Consolation matches play a 10-point tiebreaker instead of a a 3rd set.
>10s divisions: See below

10s DIVISIONS
Boys/Girls 10s: The 10s divisions for all tournaments will play on a 60' court using ORANGE compression balls. Racquets cannot be longer than 25". Matches are best-of-three 4 game sets (win by 2, TB at 4-games-all), Advantage scoring, with a 7-point match tiebreaker instead of a full 3rd set.

PLAYER’S RESPONSIBILITY
>It is the PLAYER'S responsibility to know their next match time and show up in a timely manner.
>Check website often for updated match times.
>PLAYERS MUST CHECK IN FOR EACH MATCH 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO ITS SCHEDULED START TIME.
>ALL USTA RULES WILL BE ENFORCED FOR LATENESS.
>This tournament has a lot of matches to be played, and there will be no exceptions for lateness (i.e. traffic etc.).

PARENT AND MEDICAL RELEASE FORMS
>The Parent Form and Medical Release is required by USTA/NC prior to
playing matches.
>Parent or guardian must sign. Bring signed form with you to registration.

WITHDRAWALS
>If you need to withdraw before entries close, you must do so online.
>Click on "Edit Registration," then "Withdraw." You will need your original confirmation number.
>All withdrawals after entries close must be sent BOTH in writing by email (to the Tournament Director's address above) and by phone to the
tournament site.
>Players withdrawing after the tournament deadline will not be refunded the entry fee.
>Suspension points may also be assessed by the NCTA.

IMPORTANT JUNIOR SUSPENSION NOTES
Please note the rules below pertain to ALL sanctioned North Carolina and Southern tournaments.
11. “A player shall not enter two tournaments at the same time. When entries close, a player shall not be entered in two or more sanctioned tournaments, if any part of the tournaments is scheduled to overlap unless each tournament committee involved understands the situation and concurs in writing.”
12. “Player shall not enter a tournament intending to withdraw if the player’s entry is accepted in another tournament.”
What if placed on an Alternate List? There are two options:
1. Stay on the Alternate Lists in hope of getting into the tournament.
2. Withdraw from the alternate list so you can legally enter another tournament.

ALTERNATES
>The alternates by event report will be updated daily.
>Contact us immediately if you realize that you cannot participate.
>It is the alternates’ responsibility to check the website to see if your alternate status has changed. The tournament will make every effort to contact you if your status does change providing the correct information is on your membership profile.
>Once an alternate is selected for play, payment is due immediately.

RAIN POLICY
>There is indoor back-up at Barber Park Indoor Tennis Center in case of a rain-out.
>Scheduled match times may change when it rains.
>ALWAYS call to find out if the tournament has gone indoors, or has only been delayed outdoors. Spencer Love: 336-545-5320 Barber Park: 336-373-5886. Do not leave messages on the recorder.
>DO NOT ASSUME THAT YOUR MATCH TIME HAS STAYED THE SAME on the other hand, DO NOT ASSUME THAT YOUR MATCH TIME HAS CHANGED.
>Match times are approximate.
>As always, leave plenty of time to get to the main site or alternate sites recommended match check-in time is ½ hour before scheduled match time.
>Players are responsible for keeping up with their match times and correct sites.

>Spencer Love (main site) will be open at 7:00 AM. Practice courts availble on first-come basis until 8:00 AM. No courts available after that time.
>Courts available at various High Schools around town: Grimsley High School, Page High School, depending on the schedule of the tournament as it affects these courts. More details info available in the coming weeks.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is restricted. Please consult your Section or District rules and regulations for entry requirements for this tournament. If you enter this tournament and are not eligible, any refund is as the discretion of the Tournament Director. Only USTA members can register online if available.
