CHILDREN HELPING CHILDREN JUNIOR SINGLES (Jr)

You and your family are invited! Come join us Friday, September 21 at 6:30pm for a great evening featuring a pizza and pasta buffet, fun tennis carnival games sponsored by Wilson Racket Sports, popular music and entertainment with ever-popular disc jockey Bill Cody, and a great silent auction featuring holiday gift baskets, restaurant gift certificates, weekend getaways, autographed sports memorabilia, and tennis equipment and apparel. Party will be held at Plano Convention Centre, 2000 E. Spring Creek Pkwy., Plano, TX 75074.

Please park on the west side of the Plano Center and inform the parking lot security that you are attending the Children’s Medical Center . By doing so, you may avoid a $5 parking fee that is charged to others who are watching the nearby Plano Balloon festival.

There will be heavy traffic and a few blocked streets in the Collin College and Oak Point Park area (Spring Creek and Jupiter) on Saturday and Sunday. Players and parents travelling to Plano East Senior High are advised to avoid this area.

Players that have raised funds/pledges for Children’s Medical Center are encouraged to turn them in on Friday night at the Kickoff Party and collect their prizes. If a player can not attend on Friday night, he/she should turn in the funds on Saturday at High Point. Only funds turned in by 3:00 p.m. Saturday will count toward the Grand Prize awards. If the number of rackets or shoes earned exceeds the inventory on hand, the desired rackets or shoes will be ordered and will be available a few weeks after the tourney.

Due to an administrative error, the draws for Super Champ Girls 16, Super Champ Boys 18, & B16Red have been remade to correct these errors. Please check your draws again for time changes.

The 10 & Under Divisions will play two out of 3 four-game sets (first to win 4 games by a margin of one game) using no-ad scoring 7-point tiebreak in lieu of 3rd set (first to win 7 points by a margin of 2).

All Regular Divisions (12’s through 18’s) will use no-ad scoring and will play the best of three sets, using a 10-point match-tiebreaker in lieu of a third set.

All Championship and Super Championship Divisions will use regular scoring and will play the best of three sets, using a 10-point match-tiebreaker in lieu of a third set.

Central Expressway North (from Dallas) to Exchange Parkway (Exit 36). Take Exchange Parkway east about ¾ mile and turn right on Rivercrest. Courts are about ½ mile on right.

Take the Westgrove exit off the Dallas North Tollway (Keller Springs/Westgrove if heading North, Frankfort exit if heading South, then 4th stoplight). Head East on Westgrove. At 4-way stop sign, turn left onto Knoll Trail. Go .5 mile north to Tennis Trail and turn right (immediately after Village Street).

Central Expressway North (from Dallas) to Exit 31 (Spring Creek Pkwy), go left under the highway and stay on Spring Creek for about ½ mile. Tennis Center is on the right side.

Central Expressway North to Beltline Rd./Main Street exit. Go East on Beltline Road/Main Street to Plano Rd. North to Apollo Rd., East past the baseball diamonds into parking lot on the right.

Central Expressway North (from Dallas) to McDermott (exit 34). Go East on McDermott (right). Once you cross over Greenville (Hwy. 5), go approx. 3.5 miles. High School will be on the left hand side.

Central Expressway North (from Dallas) to Exit 28 (Plano Parkway). Take Plano Parkway east and turn left onto Los Rios Blvd. Plano East is at the corner of Los Rios Blvd. and San Gabriel. Courts are on the northeast corner of the campus.

Central Expressway North (from Dallas) to Exit 29 (15th Street, Whitsitt Pkwy, FM 544). Go left under highway (west). Stay on 15th Street until Custer Road. Turn right on Custer and left on Park Blvd. High School is on right side. Entrance to courts is on Park Blvd.

Central Expressway North (from Dallas) to Exit 30 (Parker Road). Take Parker Road West. Plano West is between Preston Road and the Dallas Tollway.

A free lunch provided by Pizza Hut will be served starting at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 22, at High Point. The lunch is limited to the first 400 players and family members on a first-come, first-serve basis.

New 10 & Under Regulation - Other Junior Tournaments
Starting on January 1, 2012, 10s will offer 10 & Under Orange Ball Division (orange ball, 60 foot court and 25 inch racquet) and 10 & Under Green Ball Division (green dot ball, 78 foot court and 27 inch racquet).
