tournament director, a USTA number is required for all Juniors
entering the NETA Sectional Tennis Championships!
"Special Announcement"
"At the 94rd NETA Championships in 2013, The NETA will raffle off a
one-week Scholarship for a junior 12s, 14s, 16s, or 18s, to attend
the IMG/Nick Bolletteri Tennis Academy in Bradenton Florida.
Juniors can fill out a free raffle card at the Tournament desk at
check-in, a name will be drawn under strict supervision at the
conclusion of the tournament on July 7st 2013, The winner of this
scholarship must use it within 12 months from date of
receipt."
(Past recipients of the IMG scholarships are not eligible to
participate in the scholarship drawing. The drawing is for new
Juniors who have not benefitted from receiving an IMG scholarship
in the past.) Two Coaches from IMG/Nick Bollitteri Tennis Acdaemy
will conduct a clinic on Saturday July 6th from 6:30pm - 9pm at the
Yale University indoor facility, simitanuous with our anual meet
& greet.
A Silent Auction will be held, auction items will include tennis
items from Men and Women on the ATP/WTA Tour, from The New Haven
Tennis Open tournament, and other memorabilia. This is to help
raise money for the NETA Junior Development Tennis Programs around
New England Section. Parents, family and adults can make a donation
to the New England Tennis Association (NETA) by visiting our
website at netatennis.net and clicking on the Donation link from
the navigation menu to the left on our home page. Your generosity
is appreciated.
The Host Hotel for the NETA Championships will be the !
Premiere Hotel & Suites, located at 3 long Wharf Drive, New
Haven. Players, guests and family members can book your room in
advance by calling (203)-777-5337. By mentioning the New England
Tennis association you can get the negotiated block discount rate.
Please have your credit card available. Our negotiated block rate
is for single or double occupant Studio & Suites ($109),
Penthouse Suite s($179) plus 15% tax. Deadline to receive the block
rates is Monday June 25th, 2013. You can also receive the NETA
Block rate at the LaQuinta Inn and Suites, located at 400 Sargent
Dr., New Haven ( 203 562 1111). Room rates: Single-$85.50 per
night, Double-$85.50 per person nightly. Please add 15% tax. When
calling please refer to block# 2670. Deadline for booking rooms at
the LaQuinta is Friday June 22nd, 2013
