All events are "Designated" for ranking purposes. The 50, 55,
60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, and 90 events are for men and the 50, 60
and 70 events are for women. The mixed 55 doubles event is a new

as many matches as possible on Friday, begining with singles. Where
possible we will start the younger age events late afternoon. This
is a four day event and ends on Monday. If we have rain or slippery
conditions, we may have to play matches on outdoor clay courts or
indoor hard courts. If indoors, additional court charges will
apply. All entrants will receive a "goody" bag. A reception will be

during the tournament. Consolation format will be regular scoring
except a 10-Point Match Tiebreak will be used in lieu of a full 3rd
set. For very bad weather, other abbreviated formats may be used
and severe weather could lead to cancellation of the consolation.
All singles matches will use single sticks. There will be playoffs
for 3rd and 4th places, if the draw equals 8 or more entrants.
Number of entries will be limited to 16 teams. The order of
selection for unranked players is at the discretion of the
tournament director. If there are insufficient registrants in any
event, registrants may be requested to play in a different
division. Prizes will be awarded to the winners and finalists of
both the main & consolation draws. Please note that Essex
County Club is a private club and we ask all players & guests
to adhere to the following standards: 1. White (90%) tennis attire
please (shoes may have colour but hats, sweat bands & sox must
be white).Cell phone use is permitted in automobiles only. 3.
Please no jeans on premises.
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
